When Adam and Eve messed up, God dealt with that issue by raising an altar, and that has been the pattern of God’s intervention in every man’s challenge throughout history. All that He requires of us in days of diversity is to raise an altar.
Genesis 8:20-21 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, … Then the LORD said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.
God sent a flood to destroy the earth when the world became wicked. But Noah found grace before God and built an ark in which he was saved. When he came out of the ark, all he saw was devastation with no sign of life anymore. To this, he responded by raising an altar. This act touched the heart of God. An altar speaks to the heart of God.
Genesis 28:12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
An altar is a spiritual gateway that allows us to connect with heaven and draw divine presence into our lives. Beyond prayer, a powerful altar is built through worship, adoration, praise, and blessing of the Lord; pouring out our hearts to Him. This is what David was known for and this is what our Father desires of us. Acts 15:16
John 1:50-51 … And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”
Our heart(s) is the true altar where angels ascend and descend, connecting us to heaven. As we pour ourselves through prayer, praise, and worship, our hearts overflow, creating an ambience that fosters continuous spiritual activity between us and heaven, hence prompting angelic and divine intervention.
This is why the Holy Spirit dwells within us, enabling us to live with such a continuous flow from our hearts to heaven. (Romans 8:26)
How did God respond to man’s fall?
All the patriarchs or matriarchs of faith were under the same judgment because everyone born of man and woman inherited the sinful nature. None was exempted, even Noah who had found grace in the eyes of God. (Romans 3:23)
That is why after God had destroyed everything, He still made the same declaration man has become flesh and his imaginations are evil. So for God to redeem this, He responded by raising the most powerful altar- Jesus Christ. Genesis 6:3
According to Luke 23:33, Jesus hung between the heavens and the earth and became that most powerful altar that is still speaking to this day. Hebrews 7:25
Hebrews 12:22-24
As many of us who have come to Zion: where we are now, our prayers, intercession, praise, worship, adoration, etc. agree with what the blood speaks.
You are a mobile altar and as we gather together as a family and join our faith at the altar, the temperature becomes higher than ever before hence achieving much.
May the Holy Spirit help us to pay the price to keep on the horn of the altar so that heaven can traffic what it has for this generation to the realm of men.
