John 21:18 – “Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.”
As believers, our highest worship, reverence, adoration, and honor come from a place where we are fully yielded to God’s will. That is how Jesus truly becomes Lord over our lives.
God desires full ownership of us—but willingly. That is why He says, “Submit.” He will not force us. If we are to see the things we desire God to do through our lives, it must come from that place of “not my will, but Yours be done.”
Unfortunately, the majority of believers are still in charge of their own lives. They confess salvation, but Jesus is not Lord over them because they are not fully yielded to the Holy Spirit. This is why we do not see much of what God can do through our lives.
My deepest cry is that we may reach that place where it is no longer about us, but about Him—where we see the Lordship of Jesus in our finances, our relationships, and every aspect of our lives.
Yieldedness to God is a sign of trust and confidence in Him. As the Church, God is calling us to complete surrender to His will, so that Jesus may find expression through our lives.
Prayer: Precious Holy Spirit, help me surrender every area of my life to the Lordship of Jesus. Reign and sit as King on the throne of my heart until it ceases to be me, and becomes all about You.
STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED. WE LOVE YOU.
