YIELDEDNESS TO GOD’S PRESENCE-The Key to Living a Successful Life

Apr 18, 2025

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

If we want to be effective in our walk with God and be a people who will give the kingdom of God a cutting edge, we must make up our minds to do business on God’s terms, not ours.

The key to living a victorious life in this kingdom, is yielding to the voice of the Holy Spirit. On account of this, one of the promises He has given us is, the dayspring from on high that dawns, shining in the darkness and shadow of death, to guide our feet. (Luke 1:78-79)

Nothing is more powerful than the guidance of the Holy Spirit in this evil age we are in. If you want to avoid wasting time in this life, you must be a man or woman that has turned his/her life to the Holy Spirit, fully yielded to His bidding, voice and ways. (Luke 22:42)

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

How many of us regret having scars or wounds in our past because we relied on our wisdom and submitted ourselves to our experiences?

This is how the sailors lost their merchandise, boat and almost lost their lives had it not been for the man of God Apostle Paul;

Acts 27:10-11 10 saying, “Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.” 11 Nevertheless the centurion was more persuaded by the helmsman and the owner of the ship than by the things spoken by Paul.

The voice of God came clearly through Apostle Paul for them not to go ahead with the journey, but because they had more faith in the captain of the ship, they did not take it seriously.

They read the sky and it appeared to be right. However, something was happening in the Spirit, and for fourteen days, there was no light or star. People lost their merchandise because they did not heed the voice of the Lord. (Acts 27:13-21)

Following the voice of God is the key to success in this life. When you follow the direction of the Holy Spirit, even when He leads you through the valley of the shadow of death, you are sure and guaranteed protection. (Psalm 23:6)

1 Samuel 4:3-18

When the Philistines rose to fight the children of Israel in the days of Eli, the Israelites took the Ark of Covenant out of the temple and went with it to the battlefront. They took the Ark of Covenant thinking that God was for them, but their walk or lifestyle was totally out of sync with the ways of God. The fear of God had departed from them. (1 Samuel 2:22).

When the Ark of the Covenant arrived in the camp of Israel, they shouted until the ground shook. When the Philistines heard the shout, their hearts were shaken and they said the God of Israel had arrived. However, that shout didn’t guarantee victory because the very ark they took to fight for them, turned against them and they lost the battle because they took what God had given them as their victory for granted.

The same thing applies to us; if we want to be carriers of God’s presence (guaranteed of success), we must live in obedience to the Holy Spirit and fully yield to His instructions.

Is your lifestyle aligned with His purpose? If you want to do business with God, you have to die to your own ambition, ways and yield to the Holy Spirit. His ways and Word may look a bit odd, but trust in the Lord wholeheartedly and do not lean on your understanding.

1 Corinthians 1:27

Don’t be too wise for God, we don’t serve God with our heads but our hearts. Our guarantee for success is not in anything else but in His presence with us. Emmanuel. Contentment is not in stuff but in the presence of God upon our lives.

If you want to journey with God and fulfill your prophetic destiny in this life, cry to the Lord to help you in the area of submission, surrender and yielding to the Holy Spirit.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
