Psalms 90:12 So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.
We need wisdom to live accurately because we don’t have all the time in this life. Therefore, we cannot afford to live a life of trial and error.
Exodus 13:16-18
God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt single-handedly through Moses without them doing any single work or fighting for their deliverance. However, He chose to lead them through the long path —the wilderness —so that they might develop character to face the enemy in the land that He had given them (the Promised Land).
All that God promised us has found its fulfilment in Jesus (His finished work on the cross). But we must contend to walk in the realities of what He paid for. The Israelites did not possess any single property in the promised land without a fight.
Jeremiah 10:23 says, “… I know the way of a man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.” As long as we are men, we need someone to direct us. That is why we must call on God, pray, fast and read the Word like never before so that we may gain wisdom to know direction and understand the times and seasons for accurate living.
Joshua 3:4 …that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.”
If you have never been that way or place before, then you need a guide, who is the Holy Spirit. It is impossible to live accurately and save time without His leadership and guidance.
Anything you participate in without engaging Him results in death because the only way God leads a believer is by life and peace. The testimony of the Holy Spirit in your spirit comes in two forms: death or life and peace. (Romans 8:6)
You cannot live without God because it is Him who sustains you. Invite the Holy Spirit in every area of your life.
1 Corinthians 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God…
Jesus didn’t just give us wisdom, but He became our wisdom in the person of the Holy Spirit. This wisdom is the life that comes from the inside.
Jesus did everything for us at the cross, but it takes the Holy Spirit to enter into the realities of the new life. Without Him, we can possess nothing.
We must, therefore, accept that we are not wise enough. Therefore, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, accept His leading and seek insight into God’s knowledge and will for us so we may live accurately.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, forgive me for ignoring your voice. Revive my sensitivity to Your voice, witness, and guidance. I do not know what tomorrow holds, but You know it. Be my Guide and Teacher. May Your voice come to me with clarity and perspective. Help me walk circumspectively because the days are evil and I need to redeem them. Fill me with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Amen.
STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
