WHY WE NEED TO PRAY- THE FRAILNESS OF MAN

Aug 29, 2024

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

When God created man, He invested a percentage of Himself in him; His Image and Likeness so that His heavenly will could spread all over the earth through man. That is why Jesus said we should always pray that as it is in heaven so be it on earth. Matthew 6:10

God hasn’t changed His mandate, He demands us to use the gifts and graces He has placed upon our lives to reveal Him to the world. Unfortunately, many have substituted his mandate for our monetary agenda like prophet Balaam. Numbers 22

Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

The Lord is asking who will go for us. God wants to do something in this generation and is looking for men whose hearts are aligned with Him.

We must cry and ask God to search our hearts and help us align to His because if our hearts are correctly aligned, irrespective of the vocation, heaven will find expression in whatever we do.

Do not assume that you know yourself, only God can help you. Aaron was busy demonstrating God not knowing what was in his heart until the people asked him to make them a god. Exodus 32:2-3

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Man by nature is frail in the eyes of God; that is why we all need Jesus even when we are born again.

Genesis 4:25-26
Adam stayed a long time before giving birth after Abel’s death but until Seth was born, who gave birth to Enosh (meaning frailty), that men began to call on God which is the answer to man’s weakness.

The answer to our weakness (frailty) is staying on our knees calling for God’s help, that is why we pray.

If you understand how weak you are, you will stay at the altar and pray because each time you pray, there is a release of power from heaven to help you overcome that weakness.

Psalm 65:2 O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come.

Sin left a scar in our bodies that can only be removed if we invest ourselves in heartfelt sincere prayers. Man must call on God. Prayer is not for fun, we pray because we are men.

God lowered Himself and came as a man to experience what men felt. Do not let the devil lie to you and get you out of a place of seeking God. People can celebrate and clap for you but you are a weak man! Please return to the place of prayer to receive mercy and find grace to help you in your time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16

Any man who leaves the place of prayer gets overshadowed by sin because they are weak. Whether you are a preacher man, prophet, businessman, wife, husband or any placement God has given you, when you stop praying, you will fail.

Regardless of your busy schedules pray even if it is for five minutes because that prayer can save your life. When you pray, you do not know what you are securing but you’ll receive the grace to handle the surprises that come during the day.

Numbers 20:1-12

If you still doubt how weak you are, look at Moses. This is a man through whom God did miracles, who spoke face-to-face with God but was weak. In his anger, he struck the rock instead of speaking as instructed by God. This act prevented Aaron and Moses from entering the promised land. Anger got the best of Moses.

2 Corinthians 12:7-9

Your weakness is a platform for God to show off His power. But you must bring that weakness on the altar then you will see the power of God in a way you have never seen before.

We shall make it by the grace of God, as long as we stay in the altar.
