WHOLESOME OBEDIENCE

Jun 15, 2024

The key to manifesting the blessings the Lord has spoken over us is wholesome obedience.

Deuteronomy 28:1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.

The blessings that God promised the children of Israel, were tied to their obedience to the instructions and the laws He had given them.

God does not change, He demands the same wholesome obedience both to the written Word and His daily speaking, if we are to secure the tangible manifestation of His blessings in our lives.

God blesses obedience. You can not substitute obedience with sacrifice (prayer, fasting, giving, etc.) and expect to secure the blessings of God.

1 Samuel 15:10-35
King Saul tried it and ended up losing his kingdom. This is why all our spiritual activities and sacrifices will only receive results if we order ourselves in obedience to both the written Word and the speaking of God.

If the spiritual sacrifices we are practising are yielding no results, then we can trace it to a lack of obedience. (1 Samuel 15:23)

2 Chronicles 25:2 And he did [what was] right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a loyal heart.

King Amaziah did what was right in the sight of God but with a wrong heart. How many of us fall in the category of doing the right thing but with the wrong heart?

Remember, we are dealing with a God who sees beyond our performance and words. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us so that our sacrifices can bear weight in the presence of God, with an eternal impact.

The fact that we have been qualified by what Jesus did on the cross, does not guarantee nor secure us the blessings. It is our walk of obedience that secures the manifestation of those blessings in Christ Jesus (Isaiah 1:19)

It is never too late; cry out to God and ask Him to show you mercy, so that you may obtain the grace of obedience to live a life that honours Him (Romans 1:5)

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
