WHAT DO YOU SEE?

Sep 12, 2023

22 Kings 2:9-13 [9]And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me. [10] So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. [Nevertheless,] if you see me [when I am] taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be [so.]”[13] He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan.

When Elisha saw the man of God (Elijah) for who he was and what he carried on his life, what he desired came upon him.

Many knew about Elijah’s mantle and were telling Elisha what was going to happen but still did not partake of it: You can know and still miss it. Elisha was also going to miss it if he had not seen it.

Give yourself to God a hundred per cent with everything on the inside of you. Remember what the Lord told us at the beginning of the year; Seeing eyes and hearing ears.

2 Kings 2:19-22 [19]Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Please notice, the situation of this city [is] pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water [is] bad, and the ground barren.” [20]And he said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought [it] to him.[21] Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, “Thus says the LORD: ‘I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.'” [22] So the water remains healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.

The water is bad, the ground is barren yet the city is pleasant. Elisha healed the water and everything else was healed. The water was the key.

Read 2 Kings 2:23-24

In the same chapter, as Elisha was walking, he found a group of youths who called him, a “baldheaded man”. This was a man who had just healed the city but the youths were calling him, a “baldheaded man”.

Children see a baldheaded man but mature people see beyond the baldheadedness.

The same anointing that Elisha used to heal the city destroyed forty-two youths (2 Kings 2:24).

That means that the same anointing that lifts one man can bury another depending on how they see it. Be careful how you handle anointings. This coming conference is part of what God wants to do with us, please do your best to be part of it.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
