John 14:7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
We are here to reveal the Father just as Jesus revealed Him. In our lives, whatever we do and wherever we are, God has tasked us to reveal the Son, because when people see the Son, they are drawn to the Father. This is our ultimate goal.
It doesn’t matter whether you are a preacher or a businessman; regardless of whatever gift God has given you, it is to help point men to Jesus.
John 12:20-21 [20] Now there were certain Greeks among those who came up to worship at the feast. [21] Then they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”
The interest of the Greeks was to see Jesus, not the disciples. People do not want to see you or me, and if they come and their end goal is to see us, then we have failed the gospel miserably.
If men cannot see Jesus in your life—whether in ministry or whatever it is—you have failed heaven. Men want to see Jesus because He is the only way to truth and life.
If men stopped at us, then we have not pointed them to Jesus. If it stops with us, woe unto us and may God have mercy on us.
Wherever Jesus is, men are set free, and the powers of darkness are destroyed. Where you see bondage or darkness, it is because the church has failed to reveal Jesus.
We pray, cry, fast, and long that whatever it takes, whatever pattern or design God has given us, it will be a platform that makes men see Jesus, because we are His hands and mouthpiece here on earth.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, please help us. At every level we are in, and in whatever we are engaged in, help us to make Christ known with all that we have.
Help us to set our hearts and minds on things above. Give us a distaste for the things of this world; let them be mere tools we use to reach the end.
Free our hearts from every form of encumbrance, unnecessary noise, and desires that do not align with Your purpose and will for our lives. Let them die.
Lord, let our hearts come into perfect alignment with the call You have placed upon each of us individually, and upon us as a church and as a nation. May we respond only to the leading of the Spirit.
Help us to walk in that formation, revealing Jesus for the glory and honor of Your name. Amen.
STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
PASTOR BEN OCHOLA.
