Ephesians 5:13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.

Whenever you come to a place where you do not know what to do, where to go, or whom to connect to, it means you are ignorant in that particular area and you do not know a way out.

What you need is light that makes manifest. Where there is light, things will be made manifest. So if you and I are in a situation where you do not know what to do, that means we have to cry for light.

Read Genesis 1:2-3

When God stepped on the scene and there was darkness, before He could progress with any creation, the first thing He commanded is: “Let there be light”.

This was a pattern to us of how to go about our lives: we can’t advance in darkness. Any attempt to advance in darkness will end in frustration, pain, loss, and discouragement. We can only go forward by light.

John 1:5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

When the world was wrapped up in darkness, a word was given about the Messiah for the world to be delivered. The answer to darkness is light and darkness simply means you do not have enough light. (James 1:17)

Do not force your way, look to Him and tell Him; “Lord, I need Your word”.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

Your understanding sometimes can be darkened which darkens your interpretation, and at the end of the day, you go ahead and hit the rock. You get pained and frustrated because your understanding is drawn from sheer experience and the knowledge you acquired. But this knowledge is not perfect, the only perfect knowledge comes from the heart of the Lord: the light which He speaks. (Matthew 4:4)

Psalms 119:130 The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

We have been called to live a life of virtual (excellence). This, you cannot achieve by mere human knowledge or intelligence but you need to tap into the divine and God’s word is His wisdom.

When the word of God gains ascendence over a man’s life, that word comes with light and you see a way out. May you capture that word that will change your marriage, business, etc.

1 Samuel 3:1-2 Now the boy Samuel ministered to the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was rare in those days; [there was] no widespread revelation. And it came to pass at that time, while Eli [was] lying down in his place, and when his eyes had begun to grow so dim that he could not see,

When Samuel sought the Lord, the word of the Lord came to him and he was established. He became light and turned the entire nation of Israel back to God because he secured the word of God.

When God’s word comes, you cannot stay in a place of confusion, just one word from the Lord will change you and your situation. Like Joseph, when the word came the chains and prison couldn’t contain him. (Psalms 105:19)

Psalms 119:105 Your word [is] a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

Like the headlamp in a vehicle becomes the touch, without the word, you will gulp in darkness and stumble.

There are two dimensions of His word; the written word and the daily speaking of the Lord. We must not only desire to have them but also align our walking, speaking, and thinking with what we have read and what He speaks.

The word that will benefit you is the word you practice/ act on. Just one word will bring you out of that predicament and He has that word but you have to long for it with the whole of your heart. Let us not be lazy. (Acts 19:20)

I pray tonight that the Lord anoints us not only with eyes and ears to see and hear but also the grace for obedience that we will run by what he has spoken and revealed to us.
