If the devil wants to set up a man for failure, he makes them walk in pride. Remember, pride blinds you and obstructs you from seeing God.

James 4:6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

When Satan and the world resist you, there is hope but when God resists you, where do you turn? That is what pride does; it will set you up for failure.

You ought to always walk in humility because the Christian life is powered by the grace of God like vehicles are powered by fuel and the lower you go, the greater the supply of grace.

Philippians 2:8-9 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

Jesus is the best example we need to look at. You must seek to be right with God always and stand in proper alignment with Him: Do not trade your relationship with God for pride and arrogance.

You would rather look like a fool than allow anything to take away your communion with God.

To some people, pride is more important than fellowship: they rather hold onto it than trade it for a life of fellowship but the voice of the Lord is clear, “He gives help to the humble.”

May the Lord help us. Remember;

‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6
