As a believer, when casting out devils we do not contend with them.

Philippians 2:9-10 KJV Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

At “the name of Jesus’. The name of Jesus is a place and when you arrive there every knee bows. So as believers, casting out devils should not be a contention.

Colossians 1:12-16 KJV Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be THRONES, or DOMINIONS, or PRINCIPALITIES, or POWERS: all things were created by him, and for him:

Jesus Christ is the first of all creatures and all things were created for and by Him.

God’s intention was that His sons should occupy all these territories (the thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers.)

The only antidote for wickedness is the glory of God. If you stay long enough in the glory you will easily defeat the evil things in your life.

You have to know that every time you are here on earth as a believer, you are in active warfare.

Ephesians 6:12 KJ VFor we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD ,against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Today my point of emphasis will be on the rulers of the darkness of this world.

Rulers are spirits that are so grounded in the act of controlling people. They’re so intelligent and literary know so much about their victims.

They know the background, weaknesses, history, mannerisms, etc. of their victims and how to manipulate them back into situations and habits and make them dance to their rhythm.

These rulers are not just overcome by simply saying ‘in the name of Jesus’.

They are overcome by living a life of sacrifice and self-denial. You have to pay the price of sacrifice and obedience to overcome them. Living a life of sacrifice and service for Jesus.

Galatians 6:17 KJV From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

If you have any intention of possessing such authority over them in the realm of the spirit you must bare a mark of sacrifice in your body for Christ.

Something must be lost, something must die, and you must let go of something to gain that authority.

Authority comes as a result of sacrifice and paying a price. Some attacks are only won by paying the price to overcome.

Psalm 50:5 KJV Gather my saints together unto me; Those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

To those who live by sacrifice, the Lord releases such dimensions and realms of authority to them.

Ephesians 1:3, 20-21 KJV Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Ephesians 3:10 KJV to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

God made us sit in heavenly places in Christ so that we, the church can be the lecturers of these principalities and powers about God.

But to be able to do this you must be a believer who lives in the spirit dimension and by faith. Any believer who lives in the sensual and flesh dimension will suffer at the hands of Lucifer. (Luke 2:26, Romans 1:17)

Though there’s no condemnation for us in Christ, our responsibility is to walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh. If you walk in the flesh you open the door for these personalities to oppress you. (Romans 8:1)

There’s a suffering allocated to every believer who lives after Christ and serves the Lord and we need to live our lives aware of it. (Romans 8:17-18, Job 13:15)

Living in the flesh is making believers dull that they cannot save the groaning creation which awaits (Romans 8:19-22).

The Holy Spirit interrupts us through prayer to bring us back on course. (Romans 8:26-27)

Our final destination and the purpose of salvation is to be conformed to the image of Christ so that He is the first born amongst many Christs. (Romans 8:29)

This is the destiny awaiting us. God wants us to become what we were meant to be before man fell.  Where man talked like God. That’s why when a man walks in the Spirit long enough it will be hard to differentiate whether it is him speaking or God.
