THE YEAR OF BETTER THINGS SPOKEN BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS

Jan 1, 2024

Hebrews 12:24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the BLOOD OF sprinkling that SPEAKS BETTER THINGS than [that of] Abel.

The blood of Jesus speaks better things over our lives; you will enjoy your life this year at a better level than you did the previous years.

So, expect, believe, think declare, dream, and let your conversations be about better things because the blood of Jesus is speaking over your life.

All other voices except the voice of the blood of Jesus have been silenced; it is only the voice of the blood that is permitted to speak over your life this year.

The devil robs us because he presents to us with false evidence. If you remember the story of Joseph, he wasn’t loved by his brothers; they sold him to Egypt and lied to father that a beast had killed him and Joseph’s father started weeping because of false evidence. Genesis 37:12-36

Every false evidence that the enemy has been using against you will be exposed because the blood is speaking better things over your life.

FASTING WITH PURPOSE:

One of the platforms that God has availed to us to have access to the things He has already given us is fasting.

Mathew 6:5-17…. [16] “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

[17-18] But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who [is] in the secret [place;] and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Even though the hypocrites engage in prayer and fasting wrongly, it doesn’t exempt us from fasting because there is a correct way to do it.

The problem with hypocrites was their motive. We don’t fast to be seen; men can see you do it but don’t do it to be seen.

2 Chronicles 7.14 – if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

God is so gracious and merciful that He has provided to us a means for humbling ourselves.

One of the greatest hindrances to access God is pride and each one of us is proud but the degree varies. God admonished the nation which was in bondage with an issue of pride to humble itself.

The way up is down; therefore, for God to help us, we shall need to humble ourselves.

James 4:6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: [” God resists the proud,] [But gives grace to the humble.”]

There is more grace available for you but the condition for getting it is that you must walk away from pride. God is demanding humility from us if we are to obtain his help.

In Philippians 2:5-11 and 1 Peter 5:5-11, Jesus exemplifies to us a life of humility that leads to exaltation.

Luke 18:9-14

It is a waste of time to start praying and fasting when you are carrying pride in your heart; one man saw himself unworthy (humbled himself) while another was full of pride. There is nothing we will ever do to qualify before God, it is only mercy and grace and this should be your everyday leaning because everything you do outside the cross is considered as pride.

Engage in fasting with a correct motive if you have issues with pride, God will help you. Your will and emotions will have to be affected. Psalms 35:13

You have to deliberately bring your soul under the government of the Holy Spirit. It is not enough to go for hours without food; you must allow your soul faculty to be affected by the fasting.

Isaiah 58:1-11

It is possible to fast and God doesn’t see; that is why we have to fast right.

Fasting involves afflicting your soul and denying it its pleasures. You must suspend whatever is a source of pleasure in your life if you are going to get the kind of results I am talking about.

Fasting must reduce you to your smallest denominator and bring you under the government of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was no longer Himself when He returned from the wilderness. Luke 4:18

Acts 2:17 [‘ And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,] [ That I will pour OUT OF MY SPIRIT on all flesh;] …

Joel 2:28 ” And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour OUT MY SPIRIT on all flesh; …

What Peter said was the beginning of the outpouring but what we have to walk in is what Joel prophesied.

This was as a result of the assembly gathering in prayers and fasting. Some benefits come to us when we pray and fast together; that why I encourage you to be part of this twenty-one days fast that we are engaging in as a church.
