“Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;…So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them…”…Genesis 1:26-27

Man is the only creature made in God’s image. He is number two in command, only after God. Not even angels are in his class of being. They were created to serve him. That’s how valuable you are. ( Hebrews 1:14)

God values you so much that it caused Lucifer envy.

Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness, you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me! This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength…Psalms 139:1-6

You are so important to God that He sent His Son (not an angel) to redeem you. Your true value is the price that was paid to have you. ( Revelations 13:8).

Unfortunately, most believers have a wrong interpretation of their life’s worth. They measure their value by their qualifications, titles, connections, and properties. This is because they don’t know who they are.

Jesus didn’t die for you to have material possessions. Many had them before in the Old Testament.

…I will bless you and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing…Genesis 12:1-2

These material possessions are tools that God is meant to use to propagate the gospel through us. We use them to reach out and win souls into the kingdom.

We are blessed to be a blessing, wealthy to enrich others, lifted to lift, encouraged to encourage others.

Blessed be God,…the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may comfort those in any trouble, with the comfort which we are comforted by God….2 Corinthians 1:3-4

At times we experience things for others so that we can lift them up as they go through trials and win them to Christ.

Understand the value of a soul and treat people right.

I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’…Assuredly, I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to me.’…Matthew 25:35-40

The Lord commended an unbeliever who recognized the value of a soul. ( Luke 10:25-37)

Men and women who have lived wisely and well will shine brilliantly, like the cloudless, star-strewn night skies. And those who put others on the right path to life will glow like stars forever…Daniel 12:3 MSG

Luke 12:13-34:
*Life is worth more than material possessions.
*If you define life by your material possessions then you are a fool.
*Have no attachment to material possessions. You are worth more than that.
*If you want to know your real value, look at the cross.

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth,…but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also…Matthew 6:19-21.

Use this life as an opportunity to invest for eternity. Do all it takes to bring a soul into the kingdom of God. ( Matthew 5:14-16)
