1 Corinthians 16:9 For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
A great door has been opened unto us, but many adversary forces stand against us in fulfilling prophecy and destiny.
When God releases a Word, it comes with the faith needed for its fulfilment. By turning away from distractions and fixing our eyes on Jesus, we position ourselves to believe and confidently receive without doubt.
James 4:7 tells us to submit ourselves to the Lord, and 1 Peter 5:8 urges us to be sober and vigilant 24/7, because our adversary, the devil, walks around seeking whom he may devour. This means many forces are positioned to ensure that you make no progress, but you must be vigilant and sensitive enough to detect potential danger.
Below are some of the things we need to do to remain on the highway of fulfilling the prophecies over our lives;
1. Heartfelt, Fervent, Continued Prayer and Fasting.
Spending time seeking God keeps us spiritually alert and sensitive to His voice. Through prayer, you become able to discern timing, recognise traps, and know what steps to take—whether to act or to wait.
Hebrews 4:14-16
You do not have the strength to overcome these adversaries on your own. You need His grace to lift you. We are insufficient in ourselves, but our sufficiency is from Him. Therefore, we run to the altar to obtain mercy and find grace to help us in times of need.
Matthew 4:1-4
Jesus was a hundred per cent man—He grew tired, ate, and slept just like we do. Yet the only way He lived according to His heavenly calling was by engaging in prayer and fasting, through which He obtained mercy and found grace to overcome the devil.
Daniel 9:2-4
When the time had come for the children of Israel to come out of bondage, Daniel understood by the books and engaged God in prayer. This would not have happened if Daniel had not engaged the altar. As he prayed, he found grace, and help came. If he had remained passive, nothing would have happened.
2. Spending Time in the Word of God.
Colossians 3:16
You must spend time in the Word. When you look at Jesus, you see the Word of God richly embedded in Him. So when the enemy came, He was able to respond with the Word until the enemy departed.
According to Joshua 1:8, the Word of God must dwell in your spirit so deeply that when adversaries arise, they are subdued.
Luke 4:16-21
It was Jesus’ custom to read the Scriptures. There is no way you can locate yourself in God’s plan if you do not make the Word your daily habit. Because Jesus saturated His spirit with the Word, He was able, at the right moment, to identify Himself in the Scriptures.
When we spend time in the Word, we gain understanding of divine timing and direction—knowing when and how to move. This level of sensitivity comes only through consistent prayer and fellowship with the Word of God.
STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
