THE SOUL AND DESTINY OF A NATION

May 7, 2026

The Lord has placed a mandate upon us to cry out for this nation. He is more than willing to intervene in Uganda’s affairs, but He is looking for men and women who are willing to stand in the gap, align themselves with His will, and carry His burden for a generation.

Ezekiel 22:30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

The tragedy of Israel was not only the wickedness in the land, but also the silence of those who were supposed to pray. Even as we take on the responsibility of praying for the nation, we must understand that every instruction and revelation God gives has a purpose.

If God reveals something negative, it is so we can stand in the gap and avert calamity through prayer and repentance. If He reveals something good, we must still pray it into manifestation. Revelation is for redemption.

Let us not be like the children of Israel, who limited the Holy One of Israel because of their stubbornness, hardness of heart, and rebellion, which hindered His ultimate purpose.

Exodus 34:6-7 And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing [the guilty,] visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”

When God introduced Himself to Moses, He revealed His nature as merciful, gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.

God was showing Israel that mercy is available to the broken and repentant heart. The same is available for us as a nation today. Jesus bore judgment on our behalf so that grace could be extended to us.

However, this calls for true repentance, which requires sincerity. God desires truth in the inward parts. The Bible says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” We cannot deceive Him; we must come before Him with humility, brokenness, and honesty.

God pays attention to the humble, the broken, and those who tremble at His Word. These are the vessels He uses to change nations. The Bible says obedience is better than sacrifice. Before any sacrifice can carry weight before God, there must first be obedience to His instructions. (Isaiah 66:1-2, 1 Samuel 15:22)

1 Samuel 14:6 Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armour, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the LORD will work for us. For nothing restrains the LORD from saving by many or by few.”

The Philistines oppressed Israel, and only Saul and Jonathan possessed weapons. Yet Jonathan declared, “It is nothing for the Lord to save by many or by few.”

One man aligned with God became the instrument of deliverance for an entire nation. Likewise, Abraham, with only 300 trained men, defeated mighty kings because God fought for him.

Today, God is entrusting us with this responsibility because through the cross, He has made us partakers of covenant blessings and covenant authority through the Abrahamic blessing. (Galatians 3:13-14)

Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…”

Uganda belongs to God. He established the nation’s boundaries so that men may seek Him. Therefore, we must seek the Lord concerning this land and trust Him to intervene in its affairs.

The church has authority in the spirit. It is time for the church to align with heaven and stand as God’s instrument for preservation, healing, and transformation in the land.

As believers, let us, without fear or compromise, rise and take our place in prayer, faith, and obedience. We must decree the will of God over Uganda and refuse every agenda of darkness against the nation. Uganda shall fulfil her prophetic destiny as ordained by God.

May we remain faithful to our assignment, humble before the Lord, and yielded to His Spirit as we labour for the soul of our nation.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
