How do we pour our love on God? Worship and praise are a part of it; but above all, living your life by the instructions of the scripture and the daily speaking of God upon your heart- obedience is the proof of your love.

Revelations 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.

Will you, in this season renew your commitment? Remember the confession you made the day you said: ”Jesus, come into my life.” Let your walk and talk speak for your love.

This means walking away from anything that grieves the Holy Spirit: by breaking any relationship that does not honour the Lord and stopping any doings that contravene the commandments of the Lord; not that you fear hell or the devil, but because you love the Lord.

Is it pride, jealousy, envy, anger, etc?, break away because they hinder your communion with the Father. When you stay away from a sinful lifestyle, it should be because you love God too much to break His heart- this is Easter.

John 21:15 …Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?”…16 He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?… 17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?”…

Jesus loves to be loved: He asked Peter three times if He loved Him. To Jesus, Peter was to prove his love by what he was doing.

You migrate from that low level to a higher level of performance because you love Jesus, and whatever you do is a manifestation of your love. When whatever you do is out of love, it becomes very difficult to be offended; that nothing comes between you and Jesus, not even your pride.

1 Corinthians 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Let this season be a renewal or revival of your love life for the Master, and let it be seen in your words and action.

In all these things, the Holy Spirit is there to help you; allow Him to help you so that your walk with the Master will change. Allow the love of Christ to find expression through you as a response to what He did on the cross. In this, you will no longer be compelled to do things you do for His glory, whether in your giving, service or wherever you are; but you do it because you love Jesus and in appreciation of the price He paid on the cross for you.

Ephesians 4: 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

The proof of our love for Jesus and our response to what He did on Calvary is to walk by the Word and by His voice in your heart. Harbor, not anything in your heart that grieves the Holy Spirit, that offends the Father and blocks the flow of that fellowship. Trade all you have for one beautiful thing: the fellowship of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
