Then the Lord said to Moses, ..for I will not go up in your midst, lest I consume you on the way, for you are a stiff-necked people.”..Exodus 33:1-3

Stubbornness hinders the manifestation of God’s presence upon our lives!.

When we are so unbelieving, doubting, and questioning what God tells us, we compromise on His tangible presence upon our lives!.

Saying and believing things that are contrary to the Word of God grieves the Holy Spirit!.

When you grieve the Him, though He remains your friend, He withdraws and you hardly see His help!.

So when we insist on living by our five senses and ignore the word of God, we see less of His activity, power, and involvement in our lives.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God,…2 Tim 3:16.

When we believe, say or do anything that contradicts God’s word, we grieve and contradict the Holy Spirit.

God refused to go with the Israelites because they always questioned Him. Comparing the wilderness experience to Egypt.
Unbelief, doubt, anxiety, worry, and negative confessions caused Him to send an Angel to go with them.

Then Moses said to God, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here…Exodus 33:15

Moses placed value on God’s presence. He measured success and life’s achievement, not by physical materials but by the manifestation of the presence of God!.

We too as individuals and as the body of Christ, can place a demand for the presence of God!.

True rest is only found in His presence, not in mansions, cars, marriage, fame, popularity, or any other tangible or material things!.

God designed man to live for Him and not things because man is a creature of His presence!.

Man’s predicament started when he was chased away from the garden of Eden (the presence of God). (Genesis 3:14-24).

God didn’t curse man, Man simply reaped the consequences of his disobedience.

God pronounced different consequences but none of them took effect until Adam and Eve left the presence of God! (The Garden of Eden)!.

As long as they were still in the garden (presence), none could happen. The presence of God provided cover and protection from any curse or ill!.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty…Psalms 91:1-16
*Note: Read the whole chapter to see the protection under the Presence of God!.

Man was created on the sixth day, God rested on the seventh day. God did not rest because He was tired, He had completed whatever He needed to do!.

Man’s day one was God’s day of rest. The presence of God was man’s rest but when he fell, toil began!.

Moses knew that only God’s presence would give them an advantage over every enemy.

The fear you are going to instill into the enemy is because of the presence of God you carry.

They have heard that You, Lord, are among these people; that You, Lord, are seen face to face and Your cloud stands above them, and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night…Numbers 14:14

The Lord told Joshua;
No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you…Joshua 1:5

Where God’s presence is acknowledged and celebrated, the output is supernatural!.

The body of Christ must go back and function from that place of rest. Jesus operated from there. His confidence was always in the presence of the Father.

And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone,”…John 8:29

Daniel and Joseph displayed divine wisdom that made professors look like fools. (Daniel 5:11, Gen 39:2-6).
Jesus too at the age of 12 operated at a higher level of wisdom!. (Luke 2:41-52).

Nothing in this life will give you rest like the presence of God!.
Rest means satisfaction, fulfillment, and confidence in God. No worry or fear!.

Knowing God is not a theological concept, it’s an experiential truth that flows from the heart. The presence of God is the reality of Christianity!.

Unbelief, fear, anxiety, and worry will rob you of experiencing the rest of God. It will cause you to lean on the arm of flesh which will fail you!.
