THE PERSON AND MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Sep 9, 2026

Luke 24:49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

Before Jesus exited the earth, He told the disciples not to leave Jerusalem until they were endued with power from on high.

Without the Holy Spirit and His ministry, there is no salvation, no church, no ministry and no Christian life. That is how much the person of the Holy Spirit and His ministry are important in our lives. So we need to watch how we relate to Him.

2Peter 1:21
The Spirit moved different men of God to write the Bible. Without the Holy Spirit, there would be no Bible, and there would be no Jesus because He is the One who took the Word and planted it into the womb of Mary. (Luke 1:34-35)

Mary had to be empowered by the Holy Spirit, and the Word became flesh. Even after the Word became flesh, at the age of thirty, when He was baptised, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in a bodily form like a dove, and He was filled with the Spirit. (Luke 3:22)

From then onwards, Jesus yielded Himself to the Holy Spirit until He was captured. If the Son of God yielded to the Holy Spirit, who are we to think we can do this Christian walk without the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit?

All the weaknesses, confusion, and corruption we see in the church and the body of Christ are due to the Holy Spirit being pushed to the back.

Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Without the Holy Spirit, the ministry of Jesus could have been non-existent. There is nothing we can do until we give the Holy Spirit His rightful position in our lives.

As we continually yield to Him and allow Him to be what He needs to be in our lives, we will have the correct manifestation of heaven on earth, because that is His assignment.

The Holy Spirit is the most sensitive person of the Godhead. He is the one who gets offended. This tells us not to toy with sin. As we pray with expectation for the mighty works over this nation, we must re-examine our relationship with the person of the Holy Spirit and how we embrace His ways.

Remember, man is a living soul. Until the Holy Spirit takes over our soul, our witness will remain in words, and we will not see or do much of His ministry in our lives.

2 Corinthians 5:15

The time has come for us to stop living for ourselves and start living for the One who called us. This means it is no longer about us, our families, careers, or businesses, because we are merely stewards of all that God has entrusted to us.

The moment we embrace this mindset and begin to live entirely for Him, we position ourselves to experience the greatest manifestation of the Holy Spirit over our lives.

The Holy Spirit convicts, reminds and judges us. For us to walk in purity, righteousness and holiness, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit is the key. Outside the Holy Spirit, you will struggle, suffer and fail to fulfill destiny.

Any activity that you can not trace to the initiation and doing of the Holy Spirit has no eternal value. People will clap and shout for you, but on the other side, it is zero success.

If you are serious about your walk with God, whatever He tells you to do, do not run to yourself for help; run to the Holy Spirit because He is the Helper God has sent us.
