Luke.5.1-3 [1] So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, [2] and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. [3] Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.

These men were at their lowest state but Jesus ignored it and used their boat which had caught nothing the whole night for His business (to preach to the multitudes). Can you yield to the purpose and the will of God when everything is not going well?

Job 42:8-10

Job was in pain and stinking but God told him to pray for his friends who were mocking him and when he did, God healed him.

Do not wrongly interpret the circumstances that you are going through because God takes us through such states to know that whatever happens to us is an election of grace.

Genesis 20.7, 17-18 [7] Now therefore, restore the man’s wife; for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you shall live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.” [17] So Abraham prayed to God; and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants. Then they bore children; [18] for the LORD had closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham’s wife.

God told Abraham to pray for the women in the house of Abimelech and he opened their wombs while his wife was still barren. Can God use you when everything around you is falling apart?

We are called into a life of faith. We should not interpret life based on what we see because when we are down to nothing, God is always up to something.

Ecclesiastes 8.1

A wise man is one who correctly interprets what is going on in their life. You will always have a wrong interpretation if you make conclusions based on what you see.

You ought to see yourself the way God sees you; He has so much faith in you that He will always show up when it looks like nothing is working out.

When Peter was done with his business, then Jesus said;

“Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” Luke 5:4

The reason why many of us do not see the testimonies that God has for us is because we fail the test; God doesn’t immediately deal with our issues because He is testing our faith; your obedience to His word (the pathway to what He has promised).

Hebrews 6.9-11 [9] But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner…….

Be confident of the better things accompanying your salvation; have faith in yourself and the people around you. Continue doing His work, being good and being patient with His people. People may forget but God doesn’t.

Can you still keep doing the right thing even when you do not see results? Wise men rejoice even when things are falling apart; that is faith.

There is always a temptation to pull out when things are not working but you ought to show the same diligence, be patient, do the right thing, and allow God to make a way for you.

Hebrews 6.12 – that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Luke.8.15 – But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

Even with the good soil, the seeds didn’t bear fruits instantly but needed some time to grow.

We must accept to go through the process because everything starts small. For example; it took Joseph thirteen years of making to become the Prime Minister; the Word of God tried and tested him until he passed the test.

One of the proofs that you are a man of God is having patience; your faith will be tested to produce patience because you need it to bring forth fruits.

1Peter 1.8-9 [8] whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, [9] receiving the end of your faith–the salvation of your souls.

Has God told you something? Have faith in Him: rejoice, be in the right place, and keep doing right and He will surely reward you.
