THE IMPORTANCE OF KNOWLEDGE

Mar 14, 2023

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

It takes knowledge for you to function optimally in whatever area of your calling or career that God has called you to do. We who are Born again suffer most of the time due to a lack of knowledge.

Our laziness to indulge in the word of God is the devil trying to put us into bondage. We are not destroyed because the enemy is powerful but simply because of little knowledge.

Proverbs 11:9 The hypocrite with [his] mouth destroys his neighbour, But through KNOWLEDGE the righteous will be DELIVERED.

The greatest deliverance begins to come to people when they acquire knowledge of who they are, what they have in God, and the authority they carry. As the word of God gains ascendance over their faculty of reasoning and thinking, the demons will break loose from their lives.

There are two kinds of knowledge;

  1. Factual knowledge: comes to us through experience, reading, and being taught.
  2. Revelational knowledge: comes from the inspiration of the Holy Spirit upon your heart.

You need both to be able to function and fulfil destiny the way God desires but there is a place in your walk with God where factual knowledge comes to an end and all you remain with is to engage in revelational knowledge. This is the advantage of the believer against or above the non-believer.

Ephesians 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of WISDOM and REVELATION in the knowledge of Him,

We need wisdom and revelation in these last days to be able to discern because most things look like gold (Godly) when they’re not. Don’t interpret things by your senses (Proverbs 3:7).

That is what distinguished David from other Kings in Israel: he never took anything for granted however great he was unlike our brother Joshua who assumed he would take over the city of Ai being a small city compared to Jericho which he had conquered and ended up being defeated because they never inquired of the Lord (Joshua 7:1-26).

2 Peter 1:3 as His divine power has given to us all things that [pertain] to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,

Much as God has given us all things, it takes serious commitment to get the truth from his Word. Many of us survive on the surface things but if we want to go to excellence, we shall need serious consistent study of the Word of God as food for our souls.

Jesus Christ found Himself in the word by digging deeper in the word and allowing it to define His life, this is how we win in life Luke 4:17-19.

Read Mark 4:35-41.

When Jesus took the apostles in the boat of whom most of them were skilled fishermen when the storm arose they tried their experience with the knowledge they had acquired to overcome the storm logically but all was in vain until they realized that what they knew was not enough.

The disciples arose Jesus and He rebuked the wind. The apostles were dealing with water yet the problem was the wind.

What they were dealing with was more spiritual which required revelation. That is why we can’t only function on the knowledge we have acquired through our senses.

Isaiah 5:13 my people have gone into captivity, Because [they have] no knowledge; Their honourable men [are] famished, And their multitude dried up with thirst.

Every predicament, pain, trial, etc they were going through was not due to the strong demonic altar but lack of knowledge.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
