Psalms 122:1 I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD.”

The enemy has stripped us off the path for the things of God making them appear foreign.

We have become too busy, full of reasoning, logic, and arguments because of the little success we’ve attained that God is no longer a priority.

Religion has set in causing us to lose the passion for the house of God.

1 Chronicles 29:3 Moreover because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver:

David was moved by the affection for the house of the Lord that dwelt in his Spirit.

Acts 17:27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;

What happened to the affection we had?
We spend much time on other things and very little time in Church.

Luke 10:38-42 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

Our generation has become too busy with the “KITCHEN ACTIVITIES” in substitute for the THINGS OF GOD.

Martha almost lost it. She was disrupted by serving, unlike Mary who knew and understood that the Master was in the house and took the most advantage of His presence.

The life of man does not consist of the things of the earth. That’s why many believers end up getting weary because they chase after things of this world.

Ecclesiastes 1:2 ” Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher; ” Vanity of vanities, all [is] vanity.”

A man’s heart is meant to be filled with GOD alone and not things.

Psalms 84:10 For a day in Your courts [is] better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Remember your first zeal and desire, keep in the house of the Lord.

Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as [is] the manner of some, but exhorting [one another,] and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Thank God for the technology but let it not substitute the house of God (Psalms 137:1-9, Proverbs 22:28).

Psalms 69:9 Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up,…

May the Holy Spirit restore hunger and thirst that we may return to the house of the Lord.
