Romans 9.10-13

Esau and Jacob had no idea or knowledge of good and evil but God loved Jacob and hated Esau. We are here today not because of anything we did but because of His love. We only responded to His love. It all started with Him and will end in Him.

Everything God does is because He loves us; All His activities including judgment are rooted in His love. It is His love that pursued, found and saved each one of us.

John 3.16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

In the Old Testament God chose the nation of Israel though He had a bigger picture. At John 3:16 the story totally changed.

Mark.12.29-31 [29] Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: “Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. [30] And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. [31] And the second, like it, is this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Everything in this kingdom is governed and regulated by the law of love.

When God introduced Himself to Moses, He didn’t introduce Himself as a power-shaking and mighty God but as a loving God. He wanted Moses to relate to Him as a God who is love. (Exodus 34.6)

Nothing stabilizes a believer like having a revelation that God loves them. God the creator lowered Himself to become a creature because of love and of all the creatures, He took on the form of men because He was pursuing you and I.

Jonah 4

Jonah became angry that God had mercy on the people of Nineveh but he had forgotten that God had extended mercy to him while he was in the belly of the fish. That is how most of us are; we forget where God has picked us from and fail to extend mercy and grace to others.

All the miracles that Jesus did in the Bible were because He was moved with compassion; likewise, the church would be better if we would allow the love of God to reign in our lives.

James 2.13 – For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

How many times have you shown mercy to other people who wronged you? For you to walk in this dimension of God’s mercy, you must be a practitioner of mercy.

John 8:1-11

The consciences of the Sadducees and Pharisees were pierced by the truth that none of them was without sin and they walked away.

Jesus was the only man who had the right to stone her but extended love towards her and did not condemn her. The most powerful force in the world is love.

When God wanted to disarm the devil and save humanity, He used love, not power. That remains the pattern for our lives today; If we want to win in this world, we must allow His love to flow through us.

Ephesians 3:17 GNT and I pray that Christ will make his home in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love,

Foundation speaks of stability whereas roots speak of nourishment. The true nourishment and stability of a believer is founded in love.

Every instability you see in a believer’s life is because they are not founded on love and anything that is not built on love will not stand the test of time whether it is a Marriage, Ministry, Career, etc., because it is only love that never fails. (1 Corinthians 13)

Romans 5:5

One of the ministries of the Holy Spirit is to flood our hearts with love. That means that our capacity to love can increase depending on how much we yield to Him.

Human love is biased, it is only the love of God that is not. May the Father fabricate every part of your being with His love.

1 John 4:7-8,18

God must reduce His church to the place of love because it is the greatest door to the manifestation of the supernatural power of God that we have never seen.

God uses His power to extend His love to people; He lets His love flood our hearts such that His power can flow through us. It is manifesting the love of God that will win the world to Jesus.

Revelation 2.1-4 [4] Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

You may still be doing the works of God but when the love that once drove you is long gone and you are now duty bound. Are you still moved by love? I pray that the Lord may increase your capacity to love more and more.
