THE GAP BETWEEN DECLARATION AND MANIFESTATION

Aug 3, 2022

There are spiritual engagements (biblical truths and principles) we must participate in to realize the prophetic word that God has spoken into our lives.

Ezekiel 22:30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me…

There is always a gap that must be bridged and that gap is between declaration and manifestation.

The fact that the Lord has spoken and revealed to you prophecy is not a guarantee that you will walk into it.

If you don’t make up or stand in for that gap, most of the prophetic word(s) that the Lord said to you or through dreams and visions will never come into manifestation.

HOW DO WE BRIDGE THE GAP?

  1. Prayer
Prayer is one of the ways we bridge the gap taking the will of God revealed to us through His word.

Deuteronomy 29:29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

You must take what God has revealed and engage whatever instruction He has given you to make it come to a reality.

Elijah gives the perfect example of taking God’s word and engaging it on the platform of prayer.

1 Kings 17:1 And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”

The heavens were closed not because Elijah said so but because he prayed earnestly that it wouldn’t rain (James 5:17).

Prophecies don’t find manifestation and expression in isolation unless a man or woman engages the spoken/revealed word by God on the platform of prayer.

Genesis 15:13 Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years.

The children of Israel never walked out of bondage until more thirty years had elapsed. It took them thirty years to realize that if they didn’t pray or cry out to God much as He had said that He would deliver them, they would have stayed in bondage.

God later remembered them when they cried out to Him. It’s not that God forgets but He always wants to give Him a reason to do what He said (Exodus 2:24, Isaiah 43:26).

Many of us have delayed God in our destinies because we have not engaged God effectively and heartfully in the place of prayer yet it’s in that place where we work out prophecies, visions, and dreams.

  1. Practical steps

Ask the Holy Spirit for practical steps to take in the direction of the word that God has spoken to you.

James 2:26….Faith without works is dead also.

Don’t just sit down because you will make God look like a liar. Like the prodigal son, there are steps you need to take, ask the Holy Spirit that He may guide you (Luke 15:20, 1 Samuel 5:23-24).

  1. Speak right

Be careful with what you say. Many of us have sprayed poison on what God has spoken to us by what we say.

1 Corinthians 3:6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.

You plant and water with your increase (what God has spoken).
You must water that word by speaking consistently in alignment with what God has spoken to you because He watches over His word (Jeremiah 1:12).

Further Study

Luke 22:42 That’s the kind of prayer where a person exerts everything within themselves.

Exodus 3 The appearance of the burning Bush to Moses was a result of the cry of the children of Israel. Your destiny helpers are all over the world but God will not appear to them until you engage Him on the account of the word He has spoken to you.

1 Kings 18:41-44 Elijah climbed the mountain to engage God on account of what he heard until the word came to pass.

Jeremiah 1:11 You must see something in the place of prayer before you stop.

1 Timothy 1:18 use the prophesy you have received to war.

Deuteronomy 28:12 There is something you need to do for God to bless you.
