Revelation 4:1 …”Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”
There is always more in God. That is why He is provoking and challenging us to rise into a deeper place in Him—an environment in the Spirit and an ambience of the heart that attracts His presence and from which He cannot simply pass us by.
God is unpredictable; you cannot predict His movements based on what you have heard or experienced. This is the danger with many believers today, causing them to limit God.
You and I know very little of this self-existent God. Before we were, He was, and everything we see today, both living and non-living, came out of Him. Therefore, we must never limit God to what we think we know.
The things recorded from Genesis to Revelation were written that we may believe (John 20:31), yet God is greater than what our minds can fully comprehend. The more we build a proper image of God in our hearts, the more conscious, honourable, and reverential our approach to Him becomes, and the more the fear of the Lord is established within us.
John 16:7
Your advantage in life, wherever God has placed you, is the Holy Spirit. He gives us the ability to do what we are unable to accomplish through natural gifts and strength. Yet He is so gentle that He does not force Himself upon anyone; you must open your hands to Him.
So, you must come to that place in your heart where you recognise that everything you do is by God — He designed man to fulfil his purpose, calling, and divine destiny by leaning on Him. The Holy Spirit is, therefore, not an option but our greatest advantage in fulfilling God’s purpose.
John 4:34 Jesus said to them, ‘My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.’
Before we were formed in our mothers’ wombs, God knew us and planted us on the earth for His agenda. Each of us has a part to contribute to His Kingdom, and that contribution can only be fulfilled through the help of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, lean on Him continually; He should never become a second option.
Even at the age of twelve, Jesus understood that He was here to fulfil His Father’s business (Luke 2:49). In the same way, we must understand why God put us on the earth. When we know our assignment, we continually seek His direction because we do not want to find ourselves tending a garden that does not belong to us. We are servants; God is the Master, and every steward is expected to be found faithful.
Therefore, stay on your course and do what God has entrusted to you, for the help you need will always be available. Whenever you find yourself struggling in life, examine your heart. It may be a sign that you have drifted from the lane God appointed for you, for the supply of God’s help—His protection, provision, guidance, and preservation—is found in walking in alignment with His purpose, will, and calling.
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened…”
Do not live your life carelessly, for you are not your own; you were bought with the precious blood of Jesus and belong to God. One day, every believer will stand before the King of kings, where the books will be opened, and each person will give an account of their life according to what God ordained them to do.
Like Apostle Paul, our desire should be to fight the good fight, finish our course, and keep the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). A man knows when he has drifted from God’s will or begun running someone else’s race. Therefore, remain faithful to the course God has set before you.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all.
When the fear of God is absent, people live according to their own desires instead of inquiring of the Lord. A man after God’s own heart is consumed with God’s will and continually seeks His direction (Acts 13:22).
God has created each of us for a purpose. Discover your assignment, give yourself wholly to it, and live in awe, reverence, and honour of Him. Never take your life into your own hands; continually inquire of the Lord concerning His will for your life.
Whatever God has called you to do requires His help and His anointing because the flesh profits nothing. Just as Bezalel was filled with the Spirit of God to build the tabernacle, every God-given assignment requires His wisdom, His Spirit, and His enabling grace to fulfil it faithfully.
Isaiah 6:8 …Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?”..
Heaven is still asking, “Who will go for Us?” Sadly, many are going for their own agenda instead of the Lord’s. God is looking for willing men and women who will carry His assignment in this generation. Therefore, we must continually ask ourselves whether God is truly the originator of what we are doing.
If God is the One who called you, you will remain at His feet, continually inquiring of Him, seeking His direction, and depending on His help. We are not our own; we belong to God. Therefore, prayer, fasting, and seeking Him should flow from a heart that desires to know and fulfil His will.
See yourself as a servant entrusted with your Master’s work. God is looking for wise, faithful, and dependable stewards. Can He depend on you? Can He trust you? (Matthew 24:46).
May the fear of God return to the house of the Lord—from the classroom teacher to the CEO of a global company. It does not matter where God has placed you; what matters is whether you are still running your God-given course. The grace to labour in that course is always available. It is never too late to be right. Fear God.
