THE CROSS~OUR BASIS OF ACCEPTANCE

Dec 16, 2025

Galatians 3:26-28 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus… There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

The reason we have confidence in the God we serve is that God is consistent; He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He does not lie, and He is no respecter of persons—He is rich unto all who call upon Him.

God does not segregate; in Christ Jesus, there is no male or female, no Jew or Gentile, no slave or free; status and gender do not matter in this Kingdom. As long as you are in Christ, God shows no partiality, and that is the beauty of the God we serve and the reason we can come before Him with confidence.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace…

Our confidence is Jesus—and Jesus alone—rooted in what He accomplished for us on the cross of Calvary. It is not based on feelings, which change, but on faith, for the just live by faith in Christ’s finished work.

This is the basis of our acceptance before God; it is not based on what we have done, but on what Christ has done for us on the cross. So prayer and fasting, though good and necessary, have no power in themselves; but are tools and pathways that help us access God, for power belongs to Him alone.

We pray, fast, and worship to give God our attention, knowing that His hands are already open to receive us, and the only thing we can truly boast in is the cross because it is the only instrument that gives us access.

Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

The cross is the greatest revelation of God’s love, demonstrating His sacrifice in giving His only begotten Son to pay not only for our sin and transgression but also for their penalty.

Walking in obedience, living right, abstaining from evil, and avoiding actions that grieve the Holy Spirit are expressions of our love for God, not the ground for acceptance. Understanding this truth cultivates humility and keeps pride far from us.

As long as we are in Christ and our faith is in Him, Satan has no power over us. Our boldness before God comes from the cross, not from our works, for our own righteousness is like filthy rags. Christ alone is the basis of our acceptance.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
