Galatians 1:4 who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

Jesus is the only man with a scar in heaven: this shows us the gravity of the Cross.

We are able to stand before the Father and the throne of grace without any guilty and contamination because of what Jesus did on the Cross: Without the cross, there is no Christianity. (1 Corinthians 2:1-2).

Our definition of success as believers is not like the world. Our success, well-being, prosperity, and victory are all centred around the cross of Jesus Christ.

Is God the genesis of what you doing or are you using sheer strength?

Genesis 11:4-5

These men had the imagination, determination and put the energy together and started constructing but God was not part of their plan.

God made man in His own image and though he fell, there is a degree of intelligence, dominion, willpower, and determination that stayed in him that even without God he can still thrive.

That’s why you will find world musicians, movie stars, and footballers who are not believers but are gifted. (Romans 11:29)

The most precious thing that man lost in the Garden of Eden was communion

The most important thing that matters is your fellowship with God so all the preaching, teachings, and sharing of the gospel should promote this fellowship.

Acts 4:29-31 [29]Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,[30]by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” [31]And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

What distinguished the church in the book of Acts from the one of today is their reliance on the cross.

We need to rediscover that place where the cross is the centre of our faith. Anything outside the cross of Jesus is a new philosophy, doctrines of men, and desires to draw people away from Christ.

2 Timothy 4:10 for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica—Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia.

Demas left Apostle Paul because he fell in love with the things of this world.

The scandals we hear and see in the church today are because we are selling to the believers what is not the real true gospel: any success, prosperity, well-being, increases, etc outside the cross will cost your life.

Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

The cross should be the centre of any testimony that you will ever give.

The purpose of the cross is death to self-ambitions (Galatians 2:20).

2 Chronicles 26:5 He sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God; and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosper.

As long as the king kept God at the centre of his kingship, he prospered but it takes patience. Be patient, eighty years, hundred years is nothing compared to eternity.

As you live this life, have eternity at the back of your mind, where are you placing your investment (Matthew 6:19, Joshua 24:15)

I have purposed that as long as I still have breath in my nostrils, the cross will be the centre of my gospel and living.

Let us embrace the cross. It is the currency of your redemption and the receipt of your healing, prosperity, and well-being (John 14:6).
