Hebrews 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, [and] not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

The law was a shadow and a representative of what Jesus was to do 2000 years later.

God knew that the solution for the fall of man is the cross of His son Jesus Christ.

Exodus 15:23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they [were] bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

The Children of Israel couldn’t drink the bitter water much as they were thirsty.

The lives of many believers are worsening because of the bitter water they have tasted.

Exodus 15:25 And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, [which] when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

The cross is the solution to every bitterness in the soul (a similar way the tree made the waters sweet).

Numbers 21:5-6 And the people spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For [there is] no food and no water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread.” So the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many of the people of Israel died.

When the children of Israel murmured and complained, serpents (satan) started biting them.

The solution in whichever area of your life that has been bitten by the serpent is in the cross.

Numbers 21:7-8 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD and against you; pray to the LORD that He take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery [serpent,] and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.”

As they looked at the cross regardless of the pain, they were healed.

The cross is the answer to pain, suffering, and challenges.

Embrace the cross now and live ( John 12:32 ).
