THE BURDEN AND URGENCY OF THE HOUR

Apr 3, 2026

We are in a season where things have changed and will no longer be ordinary. This calls for the need to restructure, a deeper commitment, and a stirring to awaken the body of Christ to bring alignment, purity, Christ-centreredness.

Everything is shifting: technology, systems, and intelligence are being empowered to control and influence the world. With developments like AI and the coming advances in 6G, the world will not remain the same.

There will be things that look like miracles—voices, images, and even things that resemble Jesus so that many will be deceived. That is why we must be grounded in the Word and cry to the Holy Spirit to increase our level of discernment because the level of deception that is coming is not ordinary.

The Lord is calling us to take responsibility, to awaken this generation, and to align ourselves with this cause. Among the burdens we are taking up is fasting. But why the fast?

1. Consecration—2 Timothy 2:15-18

God is calling us higher because He wants to do much with us, but it requires deeper consecration—of the eyes, the mouth, the tongue, and the whole body.

We must separate ourselves from anything that draws us toward ungodliness and weakens our walk with God, such as habits, activities, conversations and circles that leave us feeling defiled, as well as teachings that sound good but slowly remove the truth of Scripture (2 Timothy 2:16-18).

We must be careful not to follow deception or live carelessly, saying one thing and doing another. That brings double judgment. Let us guard our walk with God and fully commit to Him.

2. The Lord Increase Our Capacity to Love Him—Romans 5:5

The Holy Spirit enables us to love God truly. Jesus asked Peter three times, “Do you love Me?” (John 21) It is because love must be proven. When you say that you love God, your life must demonstrate it.

However, many have become cold, and the fire has gone out; there is a need for the love of the Master to burn again in our hearts. So, we are fasting to renew our love for Him and seek Him for who He is.

The Holy Spirit will shed the love of God in our hearts, stir it up, and revive it. This is not something to force—He will do it, but we must yield.

3. Divine Guidance— Psalms 27:11

Many things are happening around us that we cannot see. People are not always what they appear—some may smile but work against you. We do not have time for trial and error anymore; we cannot afford to guess our way through life. Everything we do must be exact, and only the Holy Spirit can guide us.

If we depend on Him and say, “Holy Spirit, help me. Lead me the right way,” He will show us the smooth road. We must listen to Him in our hearts and not rely only on what we see or hear. We need His guidance every day because the enemy is active.

4. Spiritual Warfare—1 Corinthians 16:8-9

The enemy intensifies resistance each time you come close to a breakthrough or are about to step into manifestation. Therefore, it is imperative to engage in intentional, serious spiritual warfare to deal with every opposition standing at the door.

God wants us to step into the manifestation of the things He has told, shown and revealed to us—not tomorrow but now. It is time for us to exercise dominion in life and expand our influence in the field God has placed us in, becoming points of reference—voices for the Kingdom wherever we are.

5. Fulfilment of Prophecy— Jeremiah 29:10-14

The manifestation of prophecy requires engagement in prayer. God promised that after seventy years, He would visit His people, but they had to seek Him, call upon Him, and find Him to receive restoration.

Even when the time has come, nothing happens without seeking God, just as Daniel prayed when the time of fulfilment arrived. The time has come for God to fulfil His Word in our lives and fully restore the lost years, but we must adopt the “now” mindset and pray.

This is our season of serious miracles and visitation, and we are going to remind God of every prophetic word He has given us as we pray and align ourselves with His purposes.

6. Humility and Brokenness— Ezra 8:21-23

Fasting is a deliberate act of humbling ourselves before God. Many delays in our lives are a result of stubbornness, like Moses, who left Egypt at 40 but returned at 80, because his preparation took longer.

We must ask God to break and deal with us; let Him remove whatever is in our lives that is standing in His way. God’s breaking will not kill us; it will prepare us for what He has planned.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
