2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,
Our insufficiencies are enormous but the major one is that no man however right and knowledgeable they are can successfully take care of their future and prosecute that which they desire; it is all within God.
God didn’t want us to do life alone; that is why He created us to entirely depend on Him by design. Unfortunately, when man gave in to the temptation of the devil after the fall, what was exclusively supposed to be taken care of by God was opened up to the demons.
It is no longer exclusively unto God because demons have also opened up to that portal which has opened us up to Satan to manipulate us.
Psalms 82:4-5, 1 John 5:19
With the whole world under wickedness, there is a fight now between the devil and the children of God and one of the war zones is our minds.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
There are many thoughts and arguments that we harbour in our minds that are not in alignment with the Word. Remember, the mind is the access to the heart; anything we permit to linger in our minds for long eventually gains access to our hearts.
The devil entices our minds in a similar way that he did to Adam such that he gains access to our hearts; the attacks upon our lives are for the sole purpose of fighting our faith by luring us through the mind.
1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith,…
We are admonished as children of God to fight a good fight of faith because, without faith, it is impossible to please God. As long as Satan succeeds in crippling our faith, our relationship with God will be tampered with and we shall never get the necessary help that we need.
The devil still wants to bring many into disobedience by attacking the minds and hence their belief system but as far as we are concerned, we ought to rebel against him.
2 Corinthians 2:11 To keep Satan from getting the advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his wiles and intentions. (AMP)
Satan will ensure he convinces us into disobedience and tests our faith by luring our minds, but it is up to us to either listen to him or resist him.
