THE ALTAR LIFE OF A HEART THAT BURNS FOR THE NATION

Nov 14, 2024

Jeremiah 15:1-2 Then the Lord said to me, “Even if Moses and Samuel stood before Me, My mind would not be favorable toward this people. Cast them out of My sight, and let them go forth…

God testified of Moses, Samuel, and Elijah regarding their altar life while they were long gone. In James 5:17-18, Elijah’s altar life is testified of; how he earnestly prayed and shut up the heavens and again prayed to open them. These are written for our example and we learn from where they failed so that, we do not take that path. (1 Corinthians 10:11 AMPC)

One thing was common among these three men: their hearts burned for the deliverance of the nation of Israel. Let us review them.

1. Moses (Exodus 2:11-13, Hebrews 11:24-26, Exodus 32:1-14, 31-34)

His heart was moved with compassion and burnt to deliver the people from Egypt. He would plead with God on behalf of His people.

We are not here for ourselves but for the people. If God has given us a Word, either for ourselves or for the people (nation), we need not give up but stay on it. Moses was never selfish; he stuck to the plan of God even when God wanted to change His mind about the people after they turned to idol worship.

2. Samuel (1 Samuel 7:1-14)

He interceded on behalf of Israel and for all his days, Israel was at peace and recovered things and territories previously lost to their enemies.

May the hand of God stretch forth from East to West, North to South over Uganda, and deliver this land from its enemies. God gave us a covenant which we shall keep reminding Him until it comes to pass.

We do not know what God is going to do in our time; everyone will fall down and worship Him, but we will keep pressing in until He shows His sign starting from our families to the Nation. This was written for our example, therefore let us be living epistles.

3. Elijah (1 Kings 18:17-39, James 5:17)

He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.

These men had a nature like ours and we can do what they did and even beyond because we now have the Holy Spirit abiding in us.

We have this mandate upon us; this is not the time to pray for food, rent, and other personal things but to turn our faces and pray for our families that salvation may come and revival may break forth at home. God is starting with our families as an example. (Exodus 34:10)

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
