John 3:30 He must increase, but I [must] decrease.

True maturity in a Christian life is when a man dies to his own desires and will to embrace God’s desires and will. (2 Corinthians 5:15, Luke 22:42)

Less of you and more of Christ should be seen in your life daily. This can only be achieved by dying daily to those longings that pull you away from God’s agenda for your life.

1 Corinthians 15:31 I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Sometimes, voices appeal to you through developing desires and appetites for things that are outside God’s will and plan for your life. However, when these desires begin to rage in our souls, this is when we bring the cross and crucify them. (Luke 9:32)

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your reasonable service.

The most reasonable service we can do with our bodies is to offer them to the Lord on the cross daily.

John 21:18 Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry [you] where you do not wish.”

God will give you a season in life where you do whatever you want because of your level of maturity. However, a day comes when He demands you to grow up and surrender to Him.(1 Corinthians 13:11)

You are confronted with choices daily and each choice you make is either in alignment with God’s will for your life or outside God’s will for your life.

Matthew 6:9-10
Heaven will always find it hard to establish God’s kingdom when we are still alive to our ambitions and desires. It is until death occurs, that we begin to see the power of His resurrection in our lives.

Matthew 11:28-30
Anything outside the yoke of Christ will never give you rest. Our rest is only found in the cross of Jesus and carrying His burden.

Luke 1:38
Can God use your body to express His will on earth? Mary was willing to postpone her wedding plans to embrace the will of God.

Remember, God is a Spirit, He has no one on earth but you and I. He has no feet, hands or body but yours. The best we can do is surrender to the Holy Spirit so that His will may find expression through us.

As we pray and seek God daily, let our prayers continue to be of submission and surrender so that the Master can invest Himself in us for His kingdom and will to find expression on earth.
