Psalm 107:17 Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted
There is a difference between transgression, iniquity, and sin which also has variables. Iniquity is higher than transgression and whatever you engage in, it brings a form of affliction.
When David was thirsty for water from Bethlehem, his mighty men jeopardized their lives to get water for him. Nonetheless, he did not drink it, understanding that these men did not just bring water but something equivalent to their blood. So, he judged it as an iniquity and offered it to God because only God deserved this kind of offering. Many men and women are going through the sin of iniquity because they ate what belongs to God alone. (2 Samuel 23:13-17)
If you take what is God’s after the conviction of the Holy Spirit, you’ll have entered iniquity. This can give rise to afflictions that no prayer warriors can get you out of because you’ll have entered a legal zone. What you do here is not all night of praying but entrance into the legalities of appeasing God such that He may not turn His back on you.
Remember, no pastor or preacher can teach you what is God’s and not, but your intimacy with God by the help of the Holy Spirit.
Most of the issues in the lives of Christians are centered around legalities and satan is only strong around legal matters.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Much as the devil is a liar and the father of liars, he doesn’t always lie. Sometimes, he tells the truth. While Jesus’ kind of truth brings men out of bondage, satan’s truth about you is around the matter of aggravation if he catches you ready-handed in sin. He is the accuser of Brethren before God day and night.
We are not strong when the accuser is on our case before God. You’ll need to find a place to find Jehovah to speak in your favour. If not, anointing oil and deliverance services will not work until you understand how to use the blood that speaks better things than the blood of Abel. Otherwise, you’ll wallow in pain and affliction.
Psalm 107:18-19 [18] Their soul abhorred all manner of food, And they drew near to the gates of death. [19]Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses.
The moment there is transgression and iniquity which give rise to affliction, which is a pointer towards the gates of spiritual death.
It is a dangerous thing for a believer to walk around not knowing the will of God for their lives and not hearing the voice of God every day. When this happens, they are moving towards the gates of death.
How do you end the accusation of Satan in your life?
Psalms 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.
This scripture can be seen in two ways: (1) Jesus heard the cry and sent His Word, and the Word healed them and delivered them from their destruction; (2) the believer sent the Word of God, and Jesus came as an advocate.
When you speak the Word of God, you must understand that you are speaking from God’s energy level and not from your energy level. Most times, after praying and you have ascended high in the spirit, our minds begin to make us doubt if what we said was prudent. What happens is that you’ll have withdrawn every request you put forth in unbelief.
If you must speak His Word, they are not your words; thus, you must believe that the words you are saying are not yours and the energy level is not the way your mind is thinking. Just drop the Word and leave it! (John 11:11-14)
If you hear God speak and He confirms it, just know there is power in those words. God’s power moves with the direction of His Word.
Psalms 23:1-6
The first destruction to happen to people who transgress and come into iniquity is called the “shadow of death.” A shadow is a testimony that there is a personality around. They can be around for five years observing your life, and on the day you are about to hit something that matters to destiny, it will release on you, and death sets in.
Every time you are about to engage the person behind that shadow, they pull out the dagger and strike. One way to know that the shadow is around your life is timed occurrences happening in some seasons.
Some happenings that you can trace to your family lineage may appear at certain times that when there is no watchman to apprehend by the face, it does more damage. Do not allow the enemy to come near; stand at the gate; be on the offensive and not a defence.
The way to undo the shadow of death is to stay perpetually under the shadow of the Almighty. For those who are living in sin, you are doing yourself great harm. The devil does not have a right to oppress us but he will always find a reason to. Therefore, you need to shut the door to sin and not give him a chance because he is the accuser of brethren. (Psalms 91:1)
Joshua 3:14-15
Another destruction is when Jordan raises its head just when the harvest time is about or about to enter the new season. The moment your breakthrough is about to happen, something happens and you miss out.
Kairos moments do not come spectacularly, so if you are wise, you’ll catch it. Are there any areas of your life where Jordan raises her head? Will you contend today or will you give up and let your children fight the fight?
Look through your life, family situation, etc., and send His Word. (Matthew 8:8)
