SENSITIVITY TO THE TIMES AND SEASONS OF LIFE

Apr 14, 2026

The biggest challenge for many believers is a lack of understanding of the times, which affects their knowledge of the right action to take to produce the desired results in their lives.

God is bound by His laws —that’s how He operates, and among them is the law of time and seasons. Although He can sometimes supersede them, it is His desire that you and I cooperate with the seasons of life through appropriate actions, so that we may obtain the results we are trusting Him for.

John 5:3-4 [3] In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. [4] For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.

The miracle is not in jumping into the water or in the water itself, but it is in the moment when the angel of God came down to stir the water. It can be the same water and the same act of stepping in, yet no miracle occurs.

It takes seriousness and determination to discern and align with God’s timing. However, many treat spiritual activities as routine, lacking a sense of urgency in their spirit. Nowonder we see ordinary results in our lives. For you to stand out, there must be something distinct about you.

Psalm 50:5 “Gather My saints together to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”

Where you place a sacrifice, you do not play games; you give it your best because of the weight of the sacrifice. Whereas, where there is little sacrifice, you can afford to take things lightly. That is why David said, “I will not offer to God that which costs me nothing.” (2 Samuel 24:24)

1 Samuel 3:16-28

In the above scripture, one woman accidentally slept on her baby, and the child died, while another woman’s baby was alive. The children were then exchanged at night. When the matter was brought before King Solomon, he suggested cutting the baby in two, but the real mother of the living child said, “No, give the baby to her.” She sacrificed her baby so that the child might live.

Many of us are victims of giving God things that cost us nothing because our hearts are not in most of the things we do; we do not invest in things that cost us.

This is why many are careless in their Christian walk: operating within their comfort zones. If we continue operating like this, we shall not see God’s powerful and marvellous intervention in many areas of our lives.

Matthew 8:11-12 [11]And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. [12]But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Jesus spoke this to the Jews because they did not understand their time of visitation. He—the very One they had been waiting for—had come, yet they were unaware. They were even planning His death. They did not discern what was happening, and as a result, they missed their moment.

God is merciful, and He is speaking to us. Wherever you are and in whatever you do, carry yourself with reverence unto God. Do not offer Him what costs you nothing—whether in prayer, fasting, praise, or giving. Give Him your best; that is how you attract unique manifestations in your life.

These are not ordinary seasons. I urge you to change your mindset lest you be left behind. Stir yourself up in wisdom, for it helps you act appropriately by discerning the time you are in. I have said this repeatedly: he who has ears, let him hear.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
