One of the things I want to encourage you to do is to develop a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the helper and He came to help us in all areas of our lives. However, it is our sensitivity to His presence that will enable us to receive this help.

When you follow the path of the Holy Spirit, there is a grace that upholds you and a peace that fills your heart knowing that even when you are facing challenges in your vocation, it’s just for a moment.

It is only your experience with the Holy Spirit that will safeguard you against error. Remember, He is the spirit of truth and where the truth does not flow, you will know.

John 2:1-5 [1] On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” [5] His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do [it.]”

They had to follow the instructions to be able to witness the miracle. Most of the manifestations in a believer’s life are hinged on their cooperation with the Holy Spirit; He will give you instructions and as you start to obey them, you bring forth the miracle (Psalm 68:6).

Genesis 8:8-9 He also sent out from himself a dove, to see if the waters had receded from the face of the ground. But the dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, and she returned into the ark to him,…

The dove returned to Noah because there was no resting place for it. Some of our churches are probably like that; the Holy Spirit comes to check on us and there is no place for Him to rest. So, He withdraws because we have not created an environment for Him to rest.

When the dove was sent the second time, it returned with an olive to indicate a new beginning. When it was sent the third time, it did not return to Noah because it had found a resting place (Genesis 8:10-12).

The Holy Spirit had been looking for a resting place for over four thousand years and was waiting for someone upon whom He could rest permanently but He found none.

Luke 3:22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”

The Holy Spirit found a place where He could rest because Jesus provided Him with the perfect atmosphere to rest permanently.

The Holy Spirit resides within us and plays two major roles; the Holy Spirit within is for our daily living while the Holy Spirit upon is for our works.

How are you going to fulfil the call of God upon your life without the Holy Spirit upon? Even Jesus told the disciples to wait for the Promise of the Holy Spirit before starting their ministry.

Acts 1:4 And being assembled together with [them,] He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” [He said,] “you have heard from Me.

The day the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples, they started ministry and were able to fulfil the work upon their lives.

If you want to do ministry or have your business function the way God wants it to, create a platform for the Holy Spirit because He has the working knowledge, wisdom and power that will manifest these realities.

I pray that God helps us to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit; we must be intentional, deliberate and have a hunger or desire for the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).
