Nothing is as dangerous as you treating the darkness in you as light; this is the epitome of deception. This is how the Pharisees fought what they had been waiting for for thousands of years when they thought they had light and understanding and yet it was darkness.

Matthew 6:23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

Blindness/darkness that you think is light will make you miss the miracle you have been waiting for years.

Luke 19:42 saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

It is the blindness of their eyes/understanding that made the Pharisees miss Jesus.

Most of the pain we go through is because we fail to correctly discern the help that God has sent our way and as a result, we missed out.

Blindness will make you suffer things you shouldn’t have suffered. Ask God to open the eyes of your heart. (Proverbs 27:12)

Mark 8:23-24 So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything. 24 And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.”

The vision of some of us is seeing men like trees; our visions are blurred (we don’t see correctly) and as a result, we are wrong in our deeds, timing, performance, etc. And we are not humble enough to ask the Holy Spirit to clear our sight. When there is light, we focus because light brings focus and you stop being destructed.

Hebrews 12:1 (KJV) 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; …

There are a lot of things that call for your attention in your pursuit of what God has called you to do. We need to focus on the author of our faith; but many of us are busy paying attention to calls of men/women on the sideways trying to answer/speak to them and hence ending up destructed.

Matthew 26:32 (NLT) But after I have been raised from the dead, I will go ahead of you to Galilee and meet you there.”

Matthew 28:16-17 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him:…

Some of the struggles you go through are because you are in the wrong place despite doing the right thing.

Blindness and lack of spiritual insight was the reason the disciples caught no fish on two different occasions (John 21:5-6, Luke 5:3-7). You may be doing the right thing but in the wrong place; God can only find you where He has told you to be.

Before Jesus died, He instructed the disciples to go to Galilee, and when He resurrected He did find them in the place He had instructed them to be; not where they wanted to be.

Ephesians 5:17 Therefore do not be unwise but understand what the will of the Lord is.

If there is anything we need, it is sight: the ability to perceive/discern so that we don’t waste time. Be wise to the will of God so that you don’t run to and from beating around the bush and wasting time.

You can be so fast, strong, skilled, etc. yet all this can amount to nothing. But this can be determined by being in the right place in the right time; which is a function of discernment. (Ecclesiastes 9:11, Proverbs 20:12)

Proverbs 11:9 The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbour, But through knowledge, the righteous will be delivered.

This is for all areas of our lives. Most of the predicament we go through is because of blindness. We are delivered by knowledge which is a revelation; the light which lights into your darkness and frees you from years of bandage.

Ask God to give you seeing ears and hearing ears because you cannot doubt what you see. Elijah said he hears a sound of abundance, prayed himself and said: I see and said he saw a cloud like a hand- you cannot doubt what you see! (1 Kings 18:41-45)

The distinction between you and one who does not know Christ is eyes that can see what they see and ears that can hear what they hear; that is your advantage in the marketplace, raising those children, etc.

Be keen to follow and see where/ what God wants you to be/see.
