 Ruth 1:1-15

Ruth 1:1-2 Now it came to pass, in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehem, Judah, went to dwell in the country of Moab, he and his wife and his two sons. The name of the man was Elimelech, the name of his wife was Naomi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Chilion—Ephrathites of Bethlehem, Judah. And they went to the country of Moab and remained there.

Naomi’s journey was not the best. She lost both her husband and her two sons along it but when she overheard that the Lord had visited her country, she decided to return home.

You may have left Bethlehem, the house of bread because of bad circumstances and made a detour into the land of the Moabites but the Lord is now calling you back home.

Whatever happened to you doesn’t matter. The Lord is calling you.

Your life might have moved from bad to worse but the Holy Spirit is already ministering to you. Come back home and you will be amazed at what the Lord will do with your life.

Obey His voice and return to the house of the Lord. The God of restoration will restore you.

This was not the first Earth. The Lord passed judgment upon it several times and kept on restoring it. (Read Genesis 1 & Genesis 6 of the flood).

Your life can be restored just as it was with the prodigal son.

And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him…the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this, my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ …Luke 15:11-32

God never runs out of anything. All good things come from Him ( James 1:17).

Trust in Him and He will make out your messes and redesign you just as a perfect potter does with the clay. ( Jeremiah 18:1-4)

Restoration begins by letting go of the past. God will never blame you for it if you repent of it.

Micah 7:19…He will again have compassion on us and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea

The Holy Spirit is a Spirit of restoration. He will restore you.

*Psalms 130:4 But there is forgiveness with you, that you may be feared.*

You need to forgive yourself and the environment around you. You also need to accept the forgiveness of God.

Just as Naomi decided to go back home, it’s never too late for you to return home. The Lord has seen your heart.

Naomi attributed her problems to God. She was wrong. Never attribute your problems to God. He is your strength, helper, and game-changer.

Psalms 40:1-2 … I waited patiently for the LORD, and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

The Lord will pull you out of that horrible pit and restore you.

Return to the Lord, keep your eyes on him and watch what He will do with your life.
