Revelation 4:1 “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, ‘Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.'”
Every move of God begins with a divine invitation. Throughout the Scriptures, whenever God desired to reveal a new dimension of His purpose, He first called His people to come higher.
An open heaven is not merely an announcement of blessings—it is an invitation into deeper intimacy, greater responsibility, and higher levels of spiritual maturity.
The Lord is continually calling His people to another level, but not everyone who hears the call responds. Heaven’s invitation is extended to many, yet only those who choose obedience experience the fullness of what God has prepared for them.
Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
The above scripture sounds as though the One who calls is the one who chooses, yet the choosing depends on us. The call is made to everyone, but being chosen is for only those who respond to the call and obey.
The Bible says, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.” 2Chronicles 16:9
God wants to show Himself strong over this nation; He is not looking for many but for those who are willing. The call for the ‘five virgins’ is here, whereby ‘five’ is just a number, but as many as are willing, He has given them the power to become.
As sons and daughters of the ministry, one of the mandates upon our lives is intercession, and the grace has been availed to us. There is always a beckoning; the Spirit of the Lord will draw us to another level, but it is upon us to choose whether to climb higher levels or not.
Luke 9:23 “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
Having been chosen, there are often demands to sustain the higher levels, and one of them is ‘denying yourself’. At that point, we don’t know the way; we let the Master become the Lord of our lives, surrender everything to Him and allow Him to guide and lead us because it is He who knows the way.
The cross marks an end to self-rule. When we surrender completely to Christ, we stop relying on our own wisdom and begin depending on His leading.
Whether it concerns finances, ministry, relationships, or spiritual gifts, the safest place is under the guidance of the Master; He knows how we should steward every blessing for His glory.
John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Many people begin well but stray along the way because they are not following Jesus on a daily basis. As many come to Christ, their spirits are regenerated, but the enemy still has something in the fallen body.
It is only by following Christ that His light in our spirits enables us to quench the arrows the enemy is shooting at us. That is why we must stay yoked and follow Him daily.
The foreign body loves comfort; there is always a bit of weariness that comes, but the Spirit of the Lord is capable of strengthening our spirits with might in our inner man. But that can only happen if we follow Christ daily and surrender everything to Him.
James 4:6
One of the greatest prayers every believer should make is, “Lord, keep me little in my own eyes.” Pride causes people to rely on themselves, while humility keeps them dependent upon God.
The more God blesses us, the greater is the need for us to remain humble and surrendered. Humility positions us to receive continual grace and divine direction.
May we never become hearers of God’s call without becoming responders. May we choose obedience over convenience, surrender over self-will, and intimacy over complacency. As we continue to answer His invitation daily, He will strengthen, establish, and use us mightily for His glory.
STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVOURED, WE LOVE YOU.
