Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
The thoughts and plans of God are revealed to us either through the written Word or through dreams, visions and the thoughts in our hearts.
God makes His plans known to us so that through prayer, we take His plans and promises that have already found fulfilment in Christ Jesus, from the spirit to our five senses. That’s why, without prayer, the promises of God will not find manifestation in our lives but only remain on paper.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
All these blessings are in the spirit, but through heartfelt prayer in faith, we transfer those spiritual realities and bring them into our earthly realm.
Everytime men don’t pray, they live in the shadow of their promises. Prayerlessness robs a believer of walking into the manifestation of the revealed will of God. Remember, revelation is different from manifestation. The Holy Spirit reveals, but He is also responsible for the manifestation. (1 Peter 1:20)
There are general blessings that God has ordained for every man, whether you are saved or not. But if you want to ascend to these unique blessings that make you stand out, you must be a prayerful person.
James 5:16-18
Not every prayer finds its way into the presence of the Lord; it is only heartfelt, fervent, continuous prayer that carries weight in the presence of God.
Elijah took what was in the Spirit on His knees and prayed earnestly until what he heard was converted into the physical. What sound have you heard? Don’t stop praying until there is a witness in your spirit that rain has come, and when rain comes, we live on a platform of thanksgiving. (Philippians 4:6)
As we pray, it is important to remember that God’s thoughts are not our thoughts. God has tied Himself to prayer; everything is bound up to the altar life. So the moment you abandon your altar life, you have condemned yourself to an ordinary life, and you will not fulfil destiny.
