PRAYER AS A TOOL OF HOSTING GOD

Sep 28, 2023

There are three major things we need to engage in to create a conducive atmosphere for hosting God that is Prayer, Worship and the Word.

The disposition of our hearts is very key: if our hearts where all these three things spring from are aligned well, we will be able to host God in a dimension we have never seen.

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

The mere fact that you have received Jesus Christ means you already host God but the hosting we are talking about is expressing Him to His creation.

When Jesus was here, He revealed God to us.

But no man can see God and live, so He decided to come in a form that can be seen, touched and felt as a son (Jesus Christ).

As the Father sent Him, He also commissioned us to manifest Him. We are the children of God, so we are gods and the world is waiting to see us shining. Mathew 5:16

We need to remember that Prayer is a channel through which we make requests or permission authorizing heaven to come and invade our sphere.

God is a spirit and He cannot function in this sphere except He has a body. He has given the earth to men and He cannot come and invade the earth without permission from a man.

 So, if we need His intervention, we authorize Him by making requests on the platform of prayer.

We have the fullness of God in us;

The Father to whom we make our prayers, hears and answers us. The Son Jesus Christ who makes intercessions for us and in whose name we pray. The Holy Ghost, whom we pray with makes intercession through us and helps us to manifest God.

Just like the behind and front wheel of cars have to align together for a car to move, we too must align ourselves in prayer by interceding with the Holy Ghost.

Ephesians 5:18-19 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

The three mentioned that is the Prayer, Worship and the Word are all intertwined (work together).

In order for you to make meaningful prayer you need all three.

The Word is the tool that the Holy Spirit will need to work. When you are filled with the Spirit the action that will follow is the same as when you are filled with the Word.

It will be very difficult to distinguish whether you are in Word, worship or prayer.

 John 4:23-24 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God [is] Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

To worship in spirit and truth means that you are aligned with what heaven is currently doing.

Worship does not necessarily mean songs, though it can be a song depending on where it is springing from.

You will do yourself a disservice if you hear a song in your spirit and just keep quiet about it. You may not have a nice key but you have to bring it out to host God at that particular moment.
