OVERCOMING OFFENSE BY WALKING IN LOVE

Mar 31, 2023

Luke 17:1 Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offences should come, but woe [to him] through whom they do come!

The only way that the enemy can get you is through offence: you will always be offended but you cannot allow your life to abide in death no matter what the enemy propagates to push you off the track.

Luke 7:20-23 When the men had come to Him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to You, saying, ‘Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?’”22-23 Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that [the] blind see, [the] lame walk, [the] lepers are cleansed, [the] deaf hear, [the] dead are raised, [the] poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is [he] who is not offended because of Me.”

When John the Baptist was in prison, Jesus did not visit him and he fell into the sin of offence.

Every time you pick up the offence, you open yourself up to the enemy.

If someone offends you, forgive them: don’t allow the enemy to use that as an instrument to attack you because unforgiveness opens you up to the attacks of the enemy. (1 Corinthians 2:10-11).

We are all flesh and blood and will always be offended but let us allow the love of God to dominate our minds, will, and emotions because that is how we win (John 16:33, Romans 5:5).

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these [is] love.

The vehicle that makes faith work is love. If the enemy wants to paralyze your faith, he will not allow you to walk in love.

Never have anything that belongs to the enemy: neither allows him to hire a room in your life nor be a tenant in your mind because you have everything it takes to free yourself up from him by living by the love of God.

The world is run by power: governments all over the world use power to run but the kingdom of God is ruled and governed by love. The God-kind of love should dictate our behaviour.

1 Peter 3:9 not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

Do you have an employee that took something from you? Have you been betrayed by a maid and you feel like your life is falling apart?  Do not let that seed of offence that the enemy is trying to sow in your life take root but overcome it by walking in love.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
