Occupying and evicting require law and authority because demons only respond to the authority and power of Jesus and not ours.
Obadiah 1:17 “But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
Some illegal occupants keep believers in bondage, but when seasons shift, deliverance comes, and such believers occupy their rightful places by the authority of the Most High.
Ephesians 1:3
Adam was blessed and occupied the earth, but he was tricked by the enemy and lost it. However, Jesus, the last Adam, restored the blessing and dominion, and it is in the heavenly places.
Unfortunately, the fact that Jesus recovered it all doesn’t imply that we will freely walk into it because the enemy is a rebel. It is only those who know the truth that will place a demand for what belongs to them in the Name of Jesus.
Luke 4:31-36
When Jesus was teaching in the city of Galilee, they recognised that the power He had was from the Most High. Authority and power are what we need to occupy.
Luke 9:1-2 [1] Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Jesus didn’t just send the disciples; He gave them authority and power. The sons of Sceva tried to do like them without authority and the evil spirit, but the evil spirits overpowered them and prevailed against them. (Acts 19:15)
Matthew 12:28-29 [28] But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. [29] Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.
The strong man in the above scripture is the illegal occupant who must be evicted, but that is only possible when one has legitimate power and authority. We must have a warranty from Jesus for us to overcome “the strong man.”
Remember, authority is a product of submission. Jesus, in Mark 3:13-14, called the disciples to be with Him first, and when their submission to His teachings was tested, He gave them authority and sent them.
The quality of our submission determines the level of power and authority we operate in. As we continually submit to God, He continually exalts us. (1 Peter 5:6, Philippians 2:5-11).
Luke 7:2-9
The centurion understood authority and knew that anything instructed in the name of Jesus would leave.
We need authority from Jesus by the Holy Spirit to evict the illegal occupants on earth for us to occupy what belongs to us.
STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
