Jesus summarized all the instructions and commands that had been given to man in one statement; ” Love God and your neighbour “

Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’

That is why you need to always ask yourself whether the love of God is the motivating factor in whatever you do.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

God “does” because He loves: Why do you do what you do?

Any service that is not birthed from the platform of love receives zero recognition in the presence of the Father.

So, if we want Heaven to notice what we are doing on Earth, we must question ourselves why we are doing the things we are doing.

Read 1 Corinthians 13

There are many reasons why people do good things, but you can do charitable deeds, outside of love. (Philippians 1:15-17)

Jesus provides the pattern for our living; that is why He sent His Spirit ( the Holy Spirit) to live inside us so that He may flood our hearts with His divine love.

Romans 5: 5 (NLT) And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Everything that God does including His judgments is birthed out of love. It was out of His love that He even sent Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden. (Genesis 3:23)

Every time you hear the voice or command of God, it is because He loves you. It is for your well-being because He is only motivated by Love. (Jeremiah 29:11)

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Love is what moves God. It kept Jesus through all the sufferings and pain He went through.

The Lord is calling us to major in love because it’s Love that overcomes the enemy: it overcame Satan at the cross.

If there is anything you will ever do, let it be birthed from a place of love. In this place, you will not be a victim of any offence.

2 Corinthians 5:14 (AMPC) For the love of Christ CONTROLS and URGES and IMPELS us, because we are of the opinion and conviction that [if] One died for all, then all died;

When you are controlled by love you can’t cheat, hold grudges, fail to forgive, etc. So we see that love is the completion of all the commandments of God.

That’s why we must allow His love to find manifestation in every area of our lives.

This month of May, pray that the love of God will flood your soul: your thinking, mind, imagination, reasoning, and emotions, and will come under the governing of the love of God.
