The journey of faith is a walk of obedience to both the written Word of God and the daily instructions He gives you.

Believers pray and fast but their biggest challenge is obeying the instructions they are given. This is one of the main reasons why some are experiencing a life of dryness and stagnation.

The rebellious dwell in a dry land…Psalms 68:6

Disobedience opens up the door to Lucifer and his attacks against our lives leading to bad things happening to us ( John 5:14).

If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;…Isaiah 1:19

Obedience leads to living a life of plenty and abundance.

Catch us the foxes, The little foxes that spoil the vines…Song of Solomon 2:15

Most people have learned the art of selective obedience ( Matthew 21:28-32). Some are even more obedient to the big things yet it’s usually the small things they disobey that disqualify them.

It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law…Luke 16:17

God’s standard has never changed. He expects us to live a life of total obedience. You can’t bribe Him with your prayers, fasting, and giving yet living a life of disobedience. This will still lead you into disaster.

Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened…Psalms 40:6

The greatest asset you have as a believer is hearing the voice of God. God has opened your ears to hear Him. You can never fail if you hear and obey His voice because following it is the number one key to success.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake…Psalms 23:1-3

The blessings are for those whose ears are open and follow His guidance.

The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do”…John 5:19

Jesus never failed because He always followed what His Father did. Failure is a result of not accurately following the voice of God.

The path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day…Proverbs 4:18

Living a steadily rising life of glory requires a dedicated life of obedience.

There’s a spirit of obedience and also a spirit of disobedience.

The devil is the spirit that causes people to disobey. ( Ephesians 2:2).

The Holy Spirit is the spirit that was sent in our hearts to help us walk in obedience.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and cause   you to walk in My statutes and to carefully observe My ordinances…Ezekeiel 36:26-27

That’s why every time we walk in disobedience we grieve Him. ( Ephesians 4:30).

In the scroll of the book it is written of me. I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”…Psalms 40:7-8

There are specific instructions written about you that you have to follow. May obeying them become your delight.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable…2 Timothy 3:16

The instructions God has given you are for your profiting, not destruction.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves…James 1:22-23

It is not just about the hearing. It is about the doing. ( Obedience). It is the doers that are blessed in their deed.

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does…James 1:25

Blessings overtake those who obey diligently.

Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:..Deuteronomy 28:1-2

At times obedience may cost you tears and blood but the rewards always outway the price. ( Hebrews 12:2).

Full obedience always brings God to the scene and causes Him to do things that are beyond your wildest imagination. ( Deuteronomy 11:22-24).
