MUST I NOT BE ABOUT MY FATHER’S BUSINESS?

Nov 16, 2023

If you want the help of God to become bigger in your life, you must ask the Holy Spirit to help you to die to selfish ambitions because God will not involve Himself in anything that does not promote His business.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

The will of God must become your primary drive if you want to see His hand. He will never sponsor selfish ambitions.

Joshua 5:13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?”

Joshua 5:14 (NLT) “Neither one,” he replied. “I am the commander of the LORD’s army.” At this, Joshua fell with his face to the ground in reverence. “I am at your command,” Joshua said. “What do you want your servant to do?”

God doesn’t take sides in human conflict, It is you to choose which side to belong to. Don’t begin something and invite God; allow Him to be the initiator and follow after that which He has for you Genesis 11 Jeremiah 29:11

John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

Death to self is a life that attracts God into the affairs of men.

If you want to see Jesus in your life, “I” must go down and JESUS must go up in everything you are involved in because that involvement is meant to promote the kingdom of God.

Genesis 18:17 And the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing.

Abraham was consumed by the agenda of God and that is why God could not hide anything from him. By the time you are willing to surrender a son you have been waiting for twenty-five years, it means your life is no longer your own but you are living for someone else.

A life of convenience is not a life that supports the work of God. God must have the right to inconvenience you at anytime He chooses if you are to do business with Him.

Mary was about to go for her marriage but she allowed God to inconvenience her programs. You cannot live for yourself and expect the hand of God to be strong in your life. Luke 1:38

Psalm 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties.

Some of our anxieties are hidden and it’s only circumstances that will reveal them. That is why we need to pray this prayer of consecration and surrender every day, it invites God.

We are men and “I” will always show up. It also showed up before Jesus died but He cried to Father and God supplied the help in form of strength. God can only strengthen you if you are after His agenda. Luke 22:42-43

Genesis 18:18-19 since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

Abraham was after the agenda of God. He allowed self to die and God was able to trust Him with all things.

The biggest danger in the life of a believer is self. Before man fell, besides sin, self showed up. That is why Jesus commanded us to carry our cross daily if we are to follow Him. 1 Corinthians 15:31

There is always something in you that wants its way but you have to die daily to secure the path and ways of God and the sponsorship of heaven. Luke 9:23

You’re working and engagement must exclusively be about His agenda if you are to find recognition in heaven. Most times we begin well but along the way, self takes up. That is why we need to keep examining ourselves. Matthew 7:23, 2 Corinthians 13:5

Luke 2:49 And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

God will help us if we are about His business. We are here to do His will; whatever gift God has given you is to promote His kingdom and do His will here on earth.

The day you said, “Jesus, come into my life”, you ceased to live for yourself. Embrace His plan and will and watch what He will do with and in your life.

Matthew 21:13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.”‘

The zeal for the Father’s house should consume us every day. We must purpose to stay in His presence for His agenda to consume us. John 2:17

Genesis 32:24-28

God’s will is the best thing that can ever happen for you and if you are going to walk with God, you will be inconvenienced, you will have to let go of your desires and allow His will to rule your life.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
