Anytime God wants to do something, He always looks at His Church. Jesus is the Head of the Church, and physically, He is seated at the right hand of the Father right now. Before He left, He gave us authority.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.’
We have the same mandate that Jesus had. We no longer die for the salvation of souls, but we preach the Gospel for their salvation.
Luke 4:33-36
The moment Jesus began to speak in the synagogue, the demonic powers opposed Him, saying, “Let us alone!”
The evil spirits have always desired to be left alone. You can do whatever you want as long as you don’t disturb them, but the moment you do, things go astray or fall into disarray.
For every revival that took place in Scripture, two powerful forces had to be dealt with: witchcraft and religion. These two spirits are enemies of the move of God, and any move that doesn’t confront them will eventually die.
In the book of Acts, Paul and Philip confronted witchcraft. Paul was so dangerous that, at one point, he shut down an entire business connected to witchcraft in Ephesus. (1 Corinthians 15:32)
The beasts in Ephesus were not animals but demonic and satanic powers. All the impact that Apostle Paul had was because he understood that if you don’t dethrone the powers of darkness in a territory, your efforts can become fruitless.
You must develop the mindset of a militant Church. Remember, the Church is four-dimensional according to the Bible: glorious, militant, triumphant, and victorious. If the Body of Christ doesn’t express these four dimensions, we shall fall short of what Christ expects of us.
Witchcraft is real, and it is an enemy of the Church’s progress. At one point, Paul had to rebuke the Galatians:
Galatians 3:1-3 “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you…? [2] This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? [3] Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?”
Carnality is a sign that a spell is on the Church. Witchcraft is carnality because it manipulates the sense realm; it takes you from the realm of the Spirit and puts you in the sense realm.
The children of Israel found themselves in bondage. They went to Egypt because of food, but later, their situation progressed from food to witchcraft. They were so bewitched that even after they were delivered, they still wanted to return to bondage.
Exodus 12:12 tells us what brought bondage to the children of Israel:
“For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night…; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.”
Egypt was a nation that had sold itself to witchcraft. Despite God performing nine wonders and signs, Pharaoh still refused to let the children of Israel go. Pharaoh kept the children of Israel in bondage through witchcraft.
Witchcraft bound an entire nation of approximately 2.5 million covenant-keeping children of God in bondage, just like many Christians today, until someone rose and confronted the powers of darkness in the person of Moses. It was a war of gods and spirits.
That is why, as the Church, we must stir the nation in the right direction on our knees. This is the season when you must stir yourself up and gather all the energy you have against the enemy, while watching your life so that the enemy has nothing to use against you when he appears before the court of heaven.
Jesus said:
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed.”
Jesus not only preached the Good News but also set the captives free. We are here to set the captives free.
There is a proclamation of setting those who are oppressed at liberty. But it doesn’t stop at proclamation; we must bring people out of bondage. Every oppression you see is because of demonic activity. (Acts 10:38)
God has done everything for our liberty; the rest of the work is left to us.
This isn’t just another season of prayer and fasting. God is trusting us to bring an end to oppression and stop every evil activity in this nation. We are here for a divine mandate and mission: merciless aggression.
Psalms 7:11
God is angry with the wicked, and among the people who have sold themselves to wickedness are the witch doctors. The Body of Christ is the force that God can use to confront and overcome witchcraft.
The Bible says, “You have put all things in subjection under his feet.” (Hebrews 2:8) There is a need for us to enforce, apply, and bring into reality everything that God has put under His feet and accomplished.
Luke 18:1-8
We keep going because we are already on the winning side. You shouldn’t be discouraged.
We are talking to a Judge who has already made a judgment. We now have to swing into action and effect the sentence that has already been passed. (Psalms 94:1, 23)
Don’t be discouraged; stay at it because it is working. The Lord is trusting us to bring deliverance to this nation and our families. In this season of merciless aggression, we are not stopping until there is liberty in our lives.
