God, in His wisdom, has set the earth to be governed by seasons and times.
Genesis 8:20-22
Imagine yourself in Noah’s shoes: locked up in an ark for many days, then the Lord brings you out, and you see dead bodies and carcasses like it was in Genesis 1:2. How do you respond to the chaos?
Noah, with the destruction around him, responded by building an altar and offering clean animals unto the Lord. This is the wisdom for life’s chaos and things you have no answers to. Raise a beautiful altar unto the Lord.
Noah’s one offering made God swear never again to curse the ground for man’s sake. There are things God will do for you that your children will never go through again. I entreat you to respond to things you have no answers to with an altar.
Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.”
God introduced seasons on the earth, and we are all subject to the seasons of life. You must know and understand the season you are in because seasons determine the activities done.
If you do not correctly interpret the season, you might engage in a wrong activity, resulting in disaster. You need the wisdom to discern the seasons of life to act appropriately.
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 8:1, 1 Chronicles 12:32
If you end up with the wrong thing, not in its season, the failure you will go through is not that satan is against you, but that you are acting at the wrong time and doing the wrong thing.
May the Lord fill your mind with the wisdom of His Spirit. The wise man knows the interpretation of a thing, and they will be delivered from shame because he acts appropriately. This is how we shall make an impact on earth because you will sow very little and harvest bountifully.
Pray that God may give you the understanding of times like the children of Issachar. When you have understanding of the times and seasons, you will command life.
Isaiah 2:4, Joel 3:10
The weapons of war were turned into farming instruments because the times and seasons had changed. When seasons change, what is in the hand must also change, and activity must change.
Your life and prayers must also be determined by the seasons of life. You cannot keep making the same prayers. You need the wisdom to discern the seasons of life you are in so that when the enemy comes, he does not find you with a rake to fight.
The men and women who correctly interpret time know how to take advantage of opportunities. Ecclesiastes 9:11 (TPT)
As the Lord starts to promote you, you need this wisdom—do not follow trends but the Holy Spirit. In life, it takes following the Holy Spirit, not might. As long as He is in charge of your life, you are safe.
You need to correctly interpret what you are going through so that you have the right response. Currently, the response is warfare. Do not isolate yourself; you need the corporate energy of the brethren because the enemy does not understand peace talks.
Keep encouraging yourself in the Lord if you know you are doing your best and have inquired of the Lord. 1 Samuel 30:1-10
Understanding the times and seasons of life is key to living a victorious life. So, what makes the difference?
1. The Blessing of the Lord on What You Do
It is not what you do, but the blessing of the Lord in what you do that makes a difference. If you understand this, then you will inquire of the Lord every moment of your life. Seek the blessing of the Lord.
You must also realign how you order your life: you are not wise enough to take your life into your hands. That is why we pray and fast for as long as we are on earth to secure God’s voice.
2. The Presence of the Lord
If you read the story of Joseph, the scripture says that the Lord was with him. For everyone in the Scriptures who is said to have been with Him, they were successful, even to the conclusion of Jesus. (Acts 10:38)
Beyond blessing, secure God’s presence because you and God will always come out victorious and successful—with God, all things are possible.
The Reasons We Must Engage in Battle
a) Engage the enemy for your possession- Deuteronomy 2:24
b)Enlargement of your territory- expansion does not just happen; you must fight- 1 Chronicles 4:10.
c) To defend your territory- Read the story of Nehemiah
d) To recover what is yours (what the enemy has stolen from you) – Genesis 14:14
e) To fulfil destiny- destiny does not just happen; you must fight- 1 Timothy 1:18 (GNV)
f) The only language satan understands is violence. We must fight; we cannot sit down – Matthew 11:12
g)War has been declared against you- Ephesians 6:11-12
h)We live in a wicked world with wicked people- 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2
i)The enemy doesn’t understand peace talks –1 Peter 5:8
j)We have been commanded to fight –Ephesians 6:10
k)Some enemies are persistent and unrepentant- Exodus 14
l)You either fight or perish – Esther 4:9-6
The wisdom to respond appropriately to life’s challenges enables you to win battles. At this moment, when praying, especially about things you are not sure of, ask that the Lord’s will be done. Do not pray this prayer with a divided heart—let it be whole-hearted, and you will not err.
Do not lean on your own understanding, for we are limited in knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. The choices you make in life are based on the information you have, which is not enough.
