LOOKING TO JESUS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES

Aug 11, 2025

John 16:33 – “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Life’s challenges can be overwhelming, but with the right attitude (Jesus’ attitude), we can overcome them. Jesus encourages us to “be of good cheer,” trusting that He has overcome the world. A good attitude is key to navigating life’s tribulations. When we maintain a Jesus-like attitude, we can face challenges with confidence, knowing that God is faithful and will see us through.

Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us that “the joy of the LORD is your strength.” This joy isn’t based on circumstances but on our relationship with God. Even in pain and tears, we can maintain our joy, knowing that God is working everything out for our good. Our peace and joy come from the Holy Spirit, and intimacy with Him is essential for staying above life’s challenges.

2 Peter 2:9 assures us that God is faithful and won’t permit us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. He measures everything before it comes to us, providing enough grace and power to keep us strong. With the right attitude and trust in God’s faithfulness, we can face any challenge and testify to His goodness.

Our responsibility is to abide in Him, as John 15:5 encourages us. Our ability to bear fruit – to live a righteous and holy life – comes from our connection to Christ. Without Him, we can do nothing. Our good works, kindness, and love are all a result of abiding in Him. As branches, we can’t take credit for the fruit we bear; it’s a gift from the vine.

The cross of our Lord Jesus Christ is the foundation of our faith, the receipt of our redemption, healing, liberty, and deliverance from bondage. It’s the source of our strength, peace, and joy. As believers, we can’t pride ourselves in our works or achievements, but only in the cross, where Jesus accomplished our salvation.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to maintain a Jesus-like attitude amid challenges. Fill me with Your joy, which is my strength, and guide me to abide in You, that I may bear fruit and testify to Your goodness. Thank You for Your faithfulness and the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. In His name, we pray. Amen.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU.
