LIVE LIFE BEFORE GOD

Nov 3, 2025

“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23

“For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10

God wants every Word He has spoken to us to come to pass. Yet, many believers are not fully committed to Him. We often live to please men, not God.

God must be the audience in everything we do—giving, praying, fasting, or other spiritual activities. It is in Him we live, move, and have our being (Acts 17:28).

Constantly living with this God-consciousness is what made men and women of faith in the Bible excel. In Acts 5:29, we see the Apostles, when they were arrested, boldly declared, “We ought to obey God rather than men.” We see the same with David; when he merely cut off a piece of Saul’s robe, his heart was convicted, and he repented — because he was more concerned about how God viewed his actions than how men did. (1 Samuel 24:1-7)

Ephesians 6:5–8

In whatever we do in service to men, we ought to do it as one serving God and not man, not with eye-service, otherwise we shall be doing it to please man without sincerity of heart and out of God’s will— such will not receive any reward from God. The best that human masters can give is a wage, but the true reward comes only from God — and that reward is reserved for those who live with a God-conscious heart.

Living before God calls us to listen and obey His instructions. He is continually giving us instructions because He wants to do something great with our lives. However, sadly, we often downgrade His voice (the Word and the daily speakings) to please people, forgetting that it is He who called us, not men.

Disobedience is the reason prayer and fasting sometimes seem powerless. This is not because God fails to hear, but because rebellion and people-pleasing hinder our obedience to His instructions, which are answers to our prayers. (Deuteronomy 28:1–2)

A great harvest has been released over us in this season. Let us not allow anything to hinder us from stepping into it. Live your life before God, not men — in complete obedience to His voice.

STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED. WE LOVE YOU.
