Life is spiritual, simply meaning that the physical world is a puppet of the spiritual world.
So if you want to control life, you have to learn to leave the physical dimension and live your life in the spiritual dimension. Otherwise, you will become a victim of men’s manipulation.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Whatever it is you are going through, it is light. Don’t give weight to the issues by giving them unnecessary attention because they have an expiry date.
As Scripture says, God is working out something more glorious than the light affliction you are going through. That is why you should keep your eyes on Jesus regardless of that light affliction.
Numbers 21:8-9; Hebrews 12:1-2
Just as in the days of Moses, when God instructed the children of Israel who had bitten to look at the bronze serpent, we ought to keep our eyes on the cross of Jesus, whether we are going through good days or bad.
The temptation to focus on the pain will always be there, but there must be a deliberate effort to keep our eyes on Jesus.
We have to pay more attention to our spiritual life; we do not look at natural things but at spiritual things. Whatever you see physically has a spiritual reality behind it. You can change the physical by engaging the spiritual dimension. (Ephesians 6:12)
The challenge is that this generation has been sold to the gospel of material things, hence becoming a carnal generation. They do think salvation is about material things rather than faith and Kingdom-mindedness.
Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
The word ‘framed’ means to arrange, to put in order. When God spoke, He rearranged creation by His Word.
When the devil fell, everything was thrown into disorder. The earth became without form and void. Then God began to speak: “Let there be…” He was rearranging everything.
Whenever there is disorder, confusion, delay, or limitation in your life, do not surrender to what you see. Engage the Word of God, for heaven’s pattern is that spiritual realities shape natural realities. That is how you move from the natural into the realm of the Spirit.
2 Kings 13:14-21
When Elisha was about to die, the king of Israel came to visit him. Elisha told him, “Open the window and shoot the arrow.” After he shot it, Elisha declared, “This is the Lord’s arrow of victory.” Then he told the king to strike the ground with the arrows. The king struck only three times and stopped.
Elisha became angry and said, “You should have struck five or six times.” His victory became limited because he stopped too soon. He lacked persistence. He should have continued.
Today, our arrows are not physical; the arrows are our words: the declarations we speak by faith.
Each time you pray and speak God’s Word over your life, you are releasing spiritual arrows against the enemy’s works. Therefore, your confession matters because your words carry power.
As children of God, we must awaken to the reality that life is spiritual. Build your altar through prayer, worship, the Word, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Refuse spiritual slumber. Keep your eyes fixed on Christ, strengthen your fellowship with Him, and use the authority He has given you.
The battles may have been long, but they do not have to be permanent. God is still bringing order out of the chaos, healing out of brokenness, and victory out of prolonged warfare.
