Daniel 4:35 All the inhabitants of the earth [are] reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And [among] the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, “What have You done?”

Much as God has delegated authority to us, He remains sovereign. The inherent authority is still the source of all authority and He has never left that place: even when you stop, He still has all the right to perform beyond your faith.

Numbers 11:13-15 Where am I to get meat to give to all these people? For they weep all over me, saying, ‘Give us meat, that we may eat.’ I am not able to bear all these people alone, because the burden [is] too heavy for me. If You treat me like this, please kill me here and now—if I have found favor in Your sight—and do not let me see my wretchedness!”

Sometimes life can force you into a corner: the pressure on Moses was so intense that he asked God to kill him.

But amidst that frustration, a voice came from Heaven assuring Moses that God would give the people what they asked for. (Numbers 4:18-19).

Numbers 11:21-22 And Moses said, “The people whom I [am] among [are] six hundred thousand men on foot; yet You have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat [for] a whole month.’ 22 Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to provide enough for them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to provide enough for them?”

Imagine Moses putting a question mark on what God has said! Could that be you? Some things may have happened in your life that raised questions in your heart but let God be God.

At this point, the miracle had nothing to do with Moses because he had zero faith but had everything to do with God. They went to bed and when they woke up, they had meat for a full month because the word had gone forth. The God we serve is sovereign. He can choose to step into your affairs even when you do not have faith. (Numbers 4:23)

Isaiah 42:21 The LORD is well pleased for His righteousness’ sake; He will exalt the law and make [it] honorable.

When God speaks a word, stay with it despite forces of opposition that try to take you out, stay with the word.

Read 2 Kings 7

When famine struck Israel because of their lifestyle, things were so bad that the king sent his aid to go and tell Elijah that he was going to be killed that day. When the aid told Elijah that he was a dead man, Elijah replied; “Go tell the king that by this time tomorrow, the entire nation will be filled with all kinds of stuff, famine is coming to an end.”

The messenger took the report back to the king but there was this minister who heard the words of the prophet and said;” even if God is to open the windows of heaven, what Elijah said cannot come to pass.” Then the word of the Lord came from heaven saying; “your eyes will see it but you will not partake of it”.

Just as the word of the Lord declared, there was abundance the following day. When people were running to go and get stuff, the man who doubted the Word was trampled upon and he died at the gate because what was spoken never meant economic sense to him. The fact that you do not see it, doesn’t mean that He is not working.

Romans 3:4 Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar…

Sometimes we become too clever, too oriented, and lean towards common sense but our heavenly Father can cause the things you know not to come to pass. Let God be God.

God has never ceased to be God, He is still in the business of speaking things into being; that is why you should not put a limit to God with all your experiences and training.

John 11:1 Now a certain [man] was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

John 11:3-4 Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.” When Jesus heard [that,] He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

The word had gone forth that; “this sickness is not unto death but Lazarus died”.

From sickness to death; from bad to worse. When you cannot make sense of whatever is going on because what the word said is the complete opposite of what the situation is saying.

Put your confidence, faith, and eyes on God. You are a man and you can be bombarded by many things but remember there is God.

John 11:39-40 Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been [dead] four days.” Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”

Amidst the terrible stench, Jesus commands a man to come back to life. Do we know the God we serve and pray to?

Be careful not to put any limit on God. I beg you by the mercies of God, do not kill yourself because the current environment does not favor what God spoke. Stay true to Him and let God be everything He needs to be in your life.
